The application of gems is never discussed in esoteric texts. Yet the names of several types of gems appear frequently. A hint that these actual gems were never the intention of the writer has not stopped the formation of an ever pervasive industry to decipher, draw, design and even offer jewelry crafted with these sacred items. Even Thanos the Greek word (Θανος) for the lower intellectual center is impressed with their power!
If the real deal is not in the gem than we must understand what the names of the gems actually represent. To display jewels was never the intention therefore a student of knowledge must penetrate the surface. A search of vedic texts can be useful with careful thought. “inward luster, transparency, illumination with rays, sparkle, free from impurities and good formation of the shape are the characteristics of good gems” (Agni Purana, 246.13-14). The role of the Golem in astral mediations is used to correct the shape, luster, and quality of the gems. Impurities can be removed through alchemical processes. Cracks can he healed by the use of the Kundalini. “Experts in gems are inclined to say that the following types of emeralds are of good potency: Emerald that has dark green color or the color of a spring meadow, a soft glow, that is not highly complicated (referring to inclusions), hewn in different ways and appear to be stuffed with gold dust (still referring to very small inclusions); emerald that is endowed with qualities of shape, even shade all over, sufficient heaviness and shoots diffusion of light when sun’s rays fall on it” (Garuda Purana, 71.12-15) Please take notice. The sun's rays fall on it. The sun is the Thalamus. The solar system in your head is quite different from what you may see in paintings of planets. The Thalamus emits light to Mercury. Our mercury is the sub-thalamic nucleus. This is the treasure of these texts. One learns a great deal about oneself. “Since a jewel (gem) endowed with good characteristics ensure good luck, prosperity and success to kings, and one with bad ones, disaster and misfortune, connoisseurs ought to examine their fortune depending on jewels (gems)” (Brhat Samhita, 80.1-3). This means there exists a feedback system. You can affect your future by the components in your brain. You must learn to control these components. A way to do this is to understand how the gem names relate to the individual components found in the brain. “Gems are not good if they are sandy, cracked within, scratched, stained, if they are lusterless, rough, dull or mixed with mineral substances even though they may have all the characteristic features of their family” (Garuda Purana, 70.18). Not only do we learn that the names of the gems we can also learn that the components of the brain are not inanimate objects. These structures affect our performance and we can learn how to control their affects on us.
Some texts describe creation as occurring when a deity had a thought. Often texts point to a disturbance of dwellers in heaven. There may even be a rebellion. What are these stories about? They refer to the intellectual unfolding of God in the Mind. This occurs in stages. A word evolution can be borrowed to describe the process. You are actually always growing and always learning Dear Reader.
The gem names provide a focal point to treat our conscious self taking over the reigns and throne from the automatic conscious. This is the conflict depicted in many stories, cartoons, films, and theater. Whether a painting of an actor, a deity bearing tools or a gem in a ring is offered. The knowledge of how to use the deities tools is what the goal of the heroine and hero must achieve on their quest to take the Throne and rule the mind. Uncertainty, fear, frustration? Relax let Thanos be your guide to the knowledge of the gemstones. The cerebrum has several parts. Which esoteric texts describe as planets, queens, kings, deities, knights, Good Angels, Bad angels, Deamons, Jinn, Spirits, and on and on. The names and types will vary with the traditions you study. The nervous system is described as a field of stars. In these stars planets from time to time are found orbiting each other in a specific path. The use of spiritual vision is a must when understanding self as you are traveling along the nerves. Some describe the study of these stars by the old name Astral. This word is from the latin astrum for star. When someone sees the words Astral Travel this means to travel through the active nervous system. The Greek is ἄστρον (ástron, “star”). Therefore the experiences are based on what ever is present in the nervous system of your mind. Knowing this we can learn why occult teachings warn people to be careful about their thoughts. Good Thoughts bear Good Fruit. Positive Thoughts bring rewards to you. This gives meaning to the words Good and Evil. You are the arbitrator of your mind. Here is where you begin to grasp that the controls of your chariot are not available to you at birth. You must learn to take control and learn how the chariot responds to you. It is at this point we now realize the real role of the gem names. They help in the control process. You have many nerves which ones must you work with today and what are the possible responses? This article will describe the gems and brain components that these gems control. This is a correct usage as the gems are the tools of the guiding intelligences.
By understanding which part of the cerebrum the solar system refers to aids in a great way the meaning behind Gnostic literature. With this powerful ally the reader can use vedic astrology as it was originally intended.
The table below is a summary of the main points. The information is useful as the name of the gem is associated with the planet name and the member of the cerebrum. This opens a way to to use the gem name as a focal point to affix a solution in your endeavors. The alchemists used the gem names in the Great Work in building the solar body from the lunar body. This is where reflection of the nervous system by astral mediation can be assisted by the application of the particular gem.
By utilizing the gem planet system one did not have to rely on knowledge of the internal location of the brain components. This is why the gems were often arranged in jewelry in a planetary fashion to guide the user in understanding the orbital relationship that the individual components in the brain function like planets in a solar system.
Of course the compass directions are of the esoteric nature. This means that as we view from the top of the person's head the ruby denotes the center and is where the Thalamus would be located. The pole star aligns with the ruby. East designates where the eyes, nose, mouth, and ears face. The West is the back of the person. South is the right side, and North is left side.
In closing This work can be used in understanding the two characters in Parzival known as Belacane and Gahmuret. The Moorish Queen Belacane has a Ruby crown. The future consort of the Queen is the Christian Gahmuret. He has a Diamond crown. These are references to the sacred intelligences of the Reader's Thalamus (Ruby) and their Substantia Nigra (Diamond). The land of the Queen is known for the people who are Black. What does this mean? The Substantia Nigra is involved reward and movement. The color of this organ is black. The name means black substance. The material inside has high amounts of neuromelanin and dopaminergic neurons. This is believed to be the reason for the color.

Up till now the Tree of Life and the Tree of Knowledge is talked about in various esoteric literature. How do we know that these trees exist? The concept of the tree can be demonstrated by geometric proofs. This is what Euclid's thesis is really about. The structure of the work is aimed at metaphysics. Strangely the work is diluted when introduced in high school education. The title of the work is a give away that their contents has more to do with holy geometry of the body and mind than in figuring out how to inscribe triangles and circles. A prerequisite would be the Bhagavad Gita before tackling the Elements. Such innocent looking texts actually have more to do with understanding how your mind works.
Now that the tools to make a model of the mind are introduced. How about some data? Experimental results can be puzzling without a model. A model without data has replaced much science and tends to make people detached from their world. For us the senses provide data the mind constructs models and we make decisions upon this information. Let us now consider data to understand our feelings. Because of our diversity it may be odd to accept that there are only four extreme types of emotion that goes into making a personality. Our Tree of Life model does predict this. The four spheres that make up a "Y" are involved in defining the every day working personality. The remaining seven spheres are involved in Soul and Spirit. Take note that they are farther away from the kidneys. The Reins are noted as the seat of the personality.
No one stays in one mood or temperament. A combination always exits. We can experience different mixtures of these combinations at different times of the day and night. To understand what each of these temperaments has to offer the ideal characteristics are presented for study purposes only. If one temperament dominates then it is possible to conclude which one has the major effect.
Different traditions offer conscious control over the temperaments. This allows the conquerer to achieved dominion over their own kingdom rather than be a slave to the heart.
This diagram shows the real purpose behind the pentagram and also this is why the five pointed star appears on the flags and family crests. They are the symbols of personality. When the odd point of the star is arranged such as pointed up this allows the awakening and hence guidance of the soul and spirit. These are represented as the upper triangles on the tree of life.
Element: Air, Sanguine Temperament. The Astral body dominates through the nervous system. This is characterized by a changeable personality. Friendships made and easily broken. Tasks taken up then dropped.
Fire, Choleric temperament, The Ego dominates through the circulatory system and the heart. This is why the picture contains the Lion and the heart with the arrow. The Lion refers to the prana energy. The heart and arrow refers to the blood circulation. This temperament is described by strong will behavior. People are determined to get what they want at any cost.
Water, Phlegmatic Temperament. The etheric body dominates through the glandular network. This behavior is represented by a peaceful relaxed condition.
Earth, Melancholic Temperament. The physical Body dominates. This behavior describes a deep thinking. Aspects of concentrating and sadness can occur.
By studying the drawings one can understand the different temperaments. The animal and instruments all have to do with the properties of the Temperaments and where in the body their site of action occurs. The use of the elemental names are included. It is these very elementals that are used in rituals. The goal of ritual work is to gain control of the temperaments of the operator. That is the real reason for forming the pentagram. This is often done with a tool or the hand. The ritual requires one to open and close each of the elements. Air, water, fire, and earth. Since the goal of Magical operations is to execute the will it becomes evident that the Temperaments are what are manipulated. There is often been a wait and see attitude when exploring a tradition but the purpose is always on the mind and body. Hence the goal is to over come the stumbling blocks by bring order to the kingdom. This is what is meant by the invocation. As on Earth as it is in Heaven. the actions of the mind manifested. Therefore when have four bodies when we only perceive one with the physical eye. Our emotions display the effects of these four bodies. Here we can notice that the physical body participated in the make up of our emotions. The Astral body makes its presence known through the nervous system. The control point for this body is the element of Air. This provides a strong variation in personality. If you are having trouble with making decisions use the elemental Air an call upon the guardians in your tradition for this sphere. The Ego body makes its presence known through the circulatory system. The control point is the elemental Fire. Again each tradition has a guardian for the elemental spheres. The etheric body makes its presence known through the glands throughout the body. Too much dominance provides sluggishness and laziness. The control point is the elemental water. The physical body can dominate all the other physiological systems. The strength of this body can lead to successful completion of projects. States of prolonged usages can lead to sadness and introspection. The control elemental is Earth.
The Religions provide discourses on the Temperaments. By understanding how the four bodies contribute to the making of personality one is no longer in the realm of confusion. This leads to confidence and provides for a path to have a deeper appreciation of your mind.
The use of the elements can be a way to obtain the personality that is desired.
The picture used to represent the elements and hence the guardians of the elementals vary greatly for each tradition and each culture.
The image above contains more than just a harp. The hieroglyphics on the housing must be deciphered. What intrigues us today is the claim made by occult scientists that a "Harp" exists in the brain. Nothing of a harp shaped structure has been revealed by physical devices. medical practitioners have not admitted knowledge of this powerful organ. The absence in the literature reflects an ignorance of a discipline called history. There was a time when all the disciplines mentioned were united as one. At that time active research into this organ was spurred on by occult literature. The Rig veda implies that the initiation of thought occurs by the pressure exerted on the nervous tissue by the liquid known as spinal fluid. This was the basis of the search to find the harp in the brain. Such information was not all. The application of the roman deity names strike a chord for music. This unification theory combines alchemy, music, medicine, physics, and neuroscience. Some of the alchemy keys are indeed labeled as Saturn, Jupiter, Mercury, and Venus. In order for liquid to exert pressure on brain tissue there must be a vessel to contain the liquid. This is a lake. The liquid cannot reach all of the tissue. The surface area would be too small. Thus the liquid must be transported through channels of different dimensions. This requires rivers, streams, and canals. A pump of course is necessary to keep the fluid circulating. Notice medical research has not found any of this. The images presented in texts demonstrate a static representation. This must be realized by the student. A two dimensional diagram does not offer the sensation of motion. If you persist in the the concept of seeing is believing than how can one learn medicine? Imagination a product of the mind must be utilized. The Lyre of Apollo is not an irreverent topic. It contains seven strings. These strings relate to components in the nervous system. Examine closely the notion of seven and the musical concept of a scale. The use of seven notes is sufficient to produce music. This excludes octaves. When considering the mind as a musical instrument it will be realized by the reader that octaves and altissimo is possible. The musical chambers of the nervous system are seven in number. Not all can be shown in one picture clearly. This shows three ventricles1,2,3 and not the connections which deliver the precious fluid. This shows the lower ventricles 4, and 5. The remaining ventricles 6, and 7 require much reflection. These are the spinal chord itself and the region between the skull and the brain. Such a system requires more complexity than this. The ventricles attracted much attention and is the reason why Da Vinci was asked to make these drawings. One can understand why esoteric texts describe worlds of lands, rivers, streams, lakes and oceans. Ever wonder what those outlandish works of art meant in alchemical treatises? Upon reading this article you will have the tools at your disposal to understand such texts. The figures were never intended to be fantasy. They are metaphors for the organs and systems of the body. The two figures bearing swords on the left and right represent the lateral ventricles. The figure in the center represents the middle ventricle. The wings below in the middle represent the fourth ventricle. Pressure of a liquid instills thought....An interesting concept. Imagine music as a language between minds rather than words.
