A stone sculpture found in Austria has raised a lot of speculation. Apparently there are many such figurines found across Europe. Forty of these items have been suggested to be found, yet few if any photos have been made available. They go by the name Venus in journals. The first reported one is named Venus of Willendorf. Another is called Venus of Lespugue. The names reveal in part the places where the objects have been found. Because of the nature of the images even when scholars study their features troubles appear in the language. Statues of images reserved for the tomb have in much later events ending up as being placed in a garden, or home dwelling. There is a current of displacement one can sense when viewing a piece in an anthropological museum knowing it was once part of a different location. This ability for an inanimate object to invoke strong emotions in an animated being is in the realm of magic. Such an example addresses a curious fact. When a performer or priestess carries out an operation design with the intention of bringing change in the hour you are in. The effect may not have the desired result. It depends on what your present hour is. A mental state of mind is not the same as a measure of time. How then can it be an object that is not part of a ritual cause so much reverence that a change of an hour can result in so many? The sensation of butterflies in the stomach or a slight sensation in the abdominal region is registered by the viewer. The curious markings on the head are dully noted. Researchers devote much writing to the torso region. It is strange the hands and feet are not discussed much as they are smaller in proportion to the figure. Each of these works has a different head. In the case of the Willendorf sculpture, the patterns on the head is assign to braided hair. Beauty to the beholder is allowed to make any claim they wish. After all it is their own thoughts. The thoughts are sacred. The crown worn as the chakra upon the head is said to have one thousand petals. Would you consider counting them ? Often the mind records this as a metaphor. Until what a petal means can be realized. A type of energy is emanated from the depths of this vortex. You resemble a fountain in appearance. The Sahasrara Chakra contains 1000 petals. The arrangement is 20 layers with 50 petals inside one layer each. The figure from Willendrof has a unique carving upon the head. It resembles a garland. Like a garland of crowns. This is the Mazzaroth ( מַזָּרוֹת ) region of the head. It has been presented that the village of Willendorf, Austria was the place where the carving was found in 1908. All the objects currently made known have dimensions that make them roughly the size of a hand. Nothing of a larger or smaller size has been found. A paper showing some figures found in various places can be found here. The continual assumption is that these works are based on portraiture. It is also possible that these are not made from life models. The temptation is too great to think a different way. The information in them is all that is available thus the objective has been to meet the artists rather than work with the art. Further reading O. Soffer and others, The Venus Figurines Current Anthropology 2000 Vol 41 number 4 pages 511-537 Layayoga by Shyam Sundar Goswami Not all heads are the same. There is great variation in the design of these figures. A different head a for a different transformation. The chakra has to be activated first. These works of art can have different applications. The sensations experienced are personal. What one feels in a gallery, garden, or temple, is an individual event.
