We seldom take art as a collection of works. At best the habit is to observe one painting at a time. The mind has the ability to make generalizations with limited information. This is due to the gifts of creation. If one looks closer at a collection of works the views and conclusions can change. Take for example the examples of art known as the labors of the months. A collection of 12 images depicting activities of what appears at glance as the life style of an agrarian society. This is deceptive. The media for this art has been executed in stone, glass, and paper. What may seem a quaint diversion into the past until history repeats itself no doubt and replays into the future for cycles of events can divulge into some interesting predictions. No one would based on clairvoyance could reach into the future and discern that the labors of love duplicated by artists are the very source of knowledge to understand what the tarot images are in fact pointed towards. The art in a tarot is as elusive as how many uses have been found for the book. The very origins provide a stumbling block by writers both expert and novice who attempt to find an origin. Everything has a past. Therefore to find the beginning requires to look in the proper place. The stars. The stellar home of the tarot is yet to be told by some ambitious writers. Until then we can best hope to pursue the matter of stars by learning how the tarot functions . This is achieved by looking at a temple door. Once such door would at the cathedral of Chartres. The concept of the vine and the product produced the grape is symbolic. From the grape a wine is created that can be used to produce an effect. Why is the meaning of this process and why is it kept a secret. To the external world the use of alcohol in ritual is not explained. It is of course up to the individual to seek out this kind of knowledge. At first glance the labors may not seem much but they are important as to assist the searcher for finding out what the arcana are for the grape leaves arranged upon the head of this statue. The rites of Dionysus (Bacchus).

Grey Statues once graced the cathedrals, such as the one above. Calls from ignorant minds sought their destruction and removal. In the middle ages these statues were called by the faithful Mr. Grey. The much ancient name was Phoebigenus: The son of Apollo. A seemingly, at first, unrelated ritual to these statues involves a digression into a kitchen. Hardly anyone would be aware that the preparation and eating of an Epiphany cake is actually representing a transformation in alchemy. After all alchemy would have nothing to do with us in this day and age, or would it? The colors for mercury are grey and violet. Aristotle made note that the emblem for mercury should receive a fine dusting of grey. Therefore statues and images of St. Christopher are painted in grey. Although the story of carrying the Christ child is shrouded in a mythical allegory, its real significance is in expounding the hermetic arts. Such a disconnection to anticipated doctrine has led many feeling uneasy toward its telling and few realize the grave importance this actually has on everyone. The real meaning behind the myth is that your mercury actually bears the gold. Meaning your conscious thoughts. This fact is depicted as a man holding a child up high above the waters. The name of Christopher ( Χρι’στοφο’ροζ ) implies He who carries Christ. In fact there lies in this a cabala, the Greek phonetic description reveals the actual meaning is Chrysopher ( Χρνσοφο’ροζ ). That means He that carries Gold. St. Christopher is actually a hieroglyph. The hieroglyph is of the solar sulphur. The solar sulphur is referred to as Jesus. The newly born gold must be raised on the mercurial waters and then carried by the proper energy of this Mercury to the degree possessed by the Elixir. If the belt holding Christopher's garments has a criss-cross pattern then it is a reminder to how the surface of the solvent will appear if it is prepared by canon law. Such a sign is an indication that the mercury has achieved a high degree of perfection recognized by all philosophers. This imprint of the almighty is the signature of the creator. The seal. Many names refer to it. These include the star of the Magi, the Pole star. The criss-cross geometric pattern shows up more clearly when the gold to be dissolved is put into the mercury in order to restore it to its first state. This is called young, rejuvenated gold. This is why the term child or infant gold is implied as being carried by a giant. In the Emerald Tablet the wind is the volatile mercury. The wind carried it in her belly. Each article hold deep hermetic knowledge to the sleeping eye. These will end up distributed into a delicious cake. The Myth of the Gold Bearer 'Before he was a Christian, Christopher was called Offerus. He was a sort of giant, dull in spirit. When he reached the age of reason, he began to travel, saying that he wished to serve the greatest king on earth. He was sent to the court of a powerful king, who was delighted to have such a strong servant. One day the king, hearing a singer utter the name of the devil, made the sign of the cross in terror. "Why do you do that?" Christopher asked at once. "Because I am afraid of the devil," answered the king. "If you are afraid of him, then you are not as powerful as he. So I will serve the devil." And thereupon Offerus departed. 'After going a long way in search of this powerful monarch, he saw a large band of horsemen coming towards him, dressed in red. Their leader, who was black, said to him: "What are you looking for?" "I am looking for the devil in order to serve him." "I am the devil, follow me." So Offerus enrolled himself among the servants of Satan. One day, on a long ride, the infernal band saw a cross at the roadside; the devil ordered them to turn about. "Why do you do I that?" asked Offerus, always eager to learn. "Because I am afraid of the image of Christ." "If you are afraid of the image of Christ, then you are less powerful than he; so I will take service with Christ." Offerus passed alone before the cross and went on his way. He met a good hermit and asked him where he could see Christ. "Every- where," replied the hermit. "I do not understand," said Offerus; but if you are telling the truth, what services can a strong and alert fellow like me do for him?" "He is served by prayer, fasting and watching," replied the hermit. Offerus made a face. "Is there no other way of pleasing him?" he asked. The recluse understood whom he was dealing with and, taking him by the hand, led him to the bank of a raging torrent, which came down from a high mountain and told him: "The poor people who have crossed this water have been drowned; stay here and carry those, who ask, across to the other side on your strong shoulders. If you do that for the love of Christ, he will recognize you as his servant." "I will certainly do it for the love of Christ," replied Offerus. So he built himself a hut on the river bank and day and night he carried across those travelers, who asked. One night, overcome by tiredness, he was sleeping deeply when he was awakened by a knocking at the door and heard the voice of a child, who called him three times by name. He got up, took the child on his broad shoulders and stepped into the torrent. When he reached the middle, he suddenly saw the torrent become violent. The waves swelled and hurled themselves at his sinewy legs to knock him over. He resisted as best he could, but the child's weight was like a heavy burden. Then, for fear of dropping the little traveler, he uprooted a tree in order to lean on it; but the waves went on increasing and the child became heavier and heavier. Offerus, afraid of drowning him, raised his head towards him and said: "Child, why do you make yourself so heavy? I feel as though I were carrying the world." The child replied: "Not only are you carrying the world, but him who made the world. I am Christ, your God and your master. As a reward for your good service, I baptize you in the name of my Father and in my own name and in that of the Holy Ghost; from now on, your name will be Christopher." On top of the cake is the little bather. Nicholas Flamel points out that the face of the mineral child can only be seen as it undergoes the baths of fire. This bather is the same child carried by the giant Offerus. In alchemy this bather when placed inside the cake becomes the gold in its bath. There are other names for this gold is also called the bean in the sabot and the fish that swims in our philosophic water. A flaky crust reveals more than the fine art of pastry making. The alchemist Sendivogius instructs us on how to identify the mercury at this stage. The prepared mercury has the aspect and form of a stony mass. In all views it will be crumbly and flaky. The crystalline layers appear just as leaves in a book. The reference to a book being open or closed comes to mind. If you take the cake, this indicates a win situation. The fortunate one to find the bean in the cake will never want of money. The person will be doubly king in science and by fortune. The violet color is mercury. The yellow is sulphur. The green is salt. Our mercury contain soul, sulphur spirit, and salt body. The three components that make up mind. Now with the permission of the reader. A demonstration of the power of how hermetic knowledge can be transferred by the Tarot will be shown. The knowledge of how the star patterns in the solar system relate are provided in all myths, tales, and legends for they actually relate forces interacting in different regions of Mind, Body, and Spirit. Our giant, Offerus, sets out to seek to be the servant of the most powerful king of all the land. By utilizing the images found in the tarot keys another veil can be lifted by the operator and another world is revealed. The giant Offerus involves the beginning of spirit. This is cast in the element of ether. Before spirit enters matter it starts out in ether (Metal) This is the fifth element and is the origin of the four elements. These are air, fire, water, and earth. The element systems are [ Ether, Air, Fire, Water, Earth ] Occident, [ Metal, Wood, Fire, Water, and Earth ] Orient. He is introduced to such a ruler. At first Offerus is content and happy to achieve his goal. Until one day everything changed. His employer made the sign of the cross. Offerus at first curious and wished to learn everything wanted to know. Why did this king do so? The ruler replied that someone in his court uttered the name of the Devil and he is afraid of this being. Offerus concluded if he fears such a creature then that indeed must be the most powerful rule. Offerus left the weak king and sought out the Devil. The ruler Offerus chosen to serve is reason. The powers of reason are flawed. A series of statements can be presented to be correct in logic yet be completely false. This imbalance is when reason alone operates and draws conclusions obtain from feelings based on physical observation only. Elements other than air must be included to make correct decisions. The devil upon seeing a cross set up at an intersection stopped and turned around. The giant inquired why the change in direction. The devil replied that he is afraid of the christ. Upon hearing this our hero leaves the devil and searches for this more powerful ruler to serve. The green of the devil wings appears in the world key 21. The hermit told the giant that the christ was everywhere. If he wished to serve this king he can fast and pray. The giant was not satisfied and pressed the hermit for more information. He wanted to serve the most powerful king. The hermit informed him that he should build a small hut for himself by the nearby river and provide transport to those who desire to cross the river. In the past those wishing to cross have lost their life. To serve others is a way to serve this king. The hermit combines digestion-respiration systems, the region near the dark domain, with the head. The pose of the figure matches the stars of Virgo shown as a arm outstretched. The lantern operates the divine light. Inspiration comes about by making gold from our conscious thoughts. Offerus seeks out the answers on how to serve the gold within in be introspection. This is the hermit within ourselves. Offerus settled into his new role and learned the rhythm of the duties. On a certain night the giant retired to sleep. A knock was made upon the door. It was a request to cross the river. When Offerus opened the door he saw that it was a small child. The child called him by his name. The giant picked up the child and made the crossing. The more he walked across the river be the stronger the river currents became and the heavier the child's weight became. The child thanked Offerus for his service to others and baptized him with a new name. The unification of our spirit with our soul is the image drawn inside the encircled serpent. The solar sulphur is the alchemy glyph represented by the posture of the figure. When Offerus carries the cosmic consciousness actively there is no need to stop thinking. Your thoughts are in line with your spirit's desires. Question. How does our mercurial water turn from grey to violet? By an additional source this is achieved in the physical world. A current must be produced from an electro-magnetic source. The amount is quite high to commence or initiate this current flow. The electron configuration of resting ground state mercury must be excited by pumping energy into the atoms. This is achieved by external electrons from the voltage source. This all relies upon an electromotive force. This is why Offerus seeks out the devil. The astral source represented in picture form by the tarot key 15 or VX in roman numeral form, has the power to excite our mercury. This lies in the nerves within our tail bone region. This is the source of the fire. Such a region includes our sexual gonads. To reach our highest potentials relies on humble beginnings down below. Any inspiration or idea comes from us and motivates us from below. No initiate would suspect this unless they are on the path as Offerus is indeed. The steps from Fool, Emperor, Devil, Hermit, and World show the way, by pictures how to form the solar sulphur within just by using our thoughts. The way of art provides this subtile effects. The powerful light provided by the devil is forced into a crystal by the hermit and is carried in the hand. The staff refers to the connection of the lower world of the tail bone and the upper world of the head. Notice how the staff extends throughout the body. We know only from Art that certain times of a yearly circle the color purple is displayed in and on temples. What then can happen by the wearing of the color and displaying it around you? Notice how the colors of this structure align with the concepts of the Tarot colors. How violet, blue, red, and green are distributed. Green is associated with the goddess of love. It is also our creative power. Working from the pedestal. This is our philosophic stone. The base to each layer until your reach the top different colors can be seen. The top shows gold vessels supported by violet and blue with a green figure. The violet mixed with red lifts up the gold from the blue white pedestal. Each of the figures, structures are the process to achieve the struggles of the neophyte to become a magi.
When esotericists say that their friend is in Damascus they may not mean this friend is visiting a certain location. The meaning to be in Damascus is to prepare the body for the steps of initiation. A series of exercises are envisioned. In the Fama Fraternitatis we learn of a brother described as a German. This individual is identified only by the initials C.R.C. This figure has done much in the way of travels throughout the holy land. He had intercourse with many peoples. With the strong intent of going to Jerusalem our brother first went to Damascus. The journey had to be postpone as a result of the poor condition of his body. He had possessed prior skill in medicine. This art provided C.R.C. with a chance to obtain much favor with the Turks. At the same time during his stay in Damascus the brother became acquainted with the Wise Men of Damcar in Arabia. These men of wisdom brought fourth great magical wonders. Through their works C.R.C. discovered the secrets of Nature. At this point he decided to venture forth to Damcar rather than Jerusalem. He requested that the Arabians carry him to Damcar for a certain sum of money. He was 16 years of age when he traveled to Damcar. What is this place of Damcar? Why can it not be found upon a map? The name of Damcar is a place. it is composed of two Hebrew words. They are blood and lamb. Dam ( דם ) and Kar ( כב ). Damcar means the blood of the lamb. The showing of the blood requires a change. This requires the activation of the pineal gland. The structure often described as having white hair. This lamb's white coat can be broken when the piercing light is produced from within. the gland. Here in Damcar C.R.C. was not treated as a stranger but as a member of the Magi. He witnessed many secrets from his cloister. He acquired the Arabian tongue and used it translate the book M into Latin. The book M refer to the Liber Mundi. After 3 years he shipped himself over Sinus Arabicus into Egypt. He took better notice of the plants and creatures, then he sailed over the whole Mediterranean Sea until he arrived at his destination of Fez. Why spend such a short duration in Egypt? This position, mentioned in the text, is the location of the powers called darkly splendid. A true seeker of the Path will not tarry here. The seduction of psychic powers leads astray those not prepared to venture forth. Fruitless efforts and much is wasted. Great efforts are sought in vain attempts looking for false desires. The powers here obey the law of averages. The Israelites who prolonged the sojourn in Egypt experience intolerable suffering. It is important to learn about these sub human forces and the laws that govern them. One must control and not be ruled by them. This is how fear can be neutralized and shown how weak it really is. Misunderstanding is the raw material to make prison bars. The word for sea is microcosm. The location of Fez is far from Egypt and Cyprus. The island of Cyprus is where the first work of transmutation occurred. The city of Fez represents the intellectual powers associated in occultism with Hermes (Greek) or Mercury (Latin). This of course is the location where a hat rests upon the head of a person. Our brother C.R.C. of 22 years departs the city of Fez. The age has significance. The number corresponds to a circle just as the initials do as well. The number of Pi = 22/7 refers to the solar system. The number of Hebrew letters actually define a solar system. The are made up of seven planets, three elements, and 12 zodiac constellations. By proper consideration we can come to identify C.R.C. The major arcana of the Tarot is a pictorial representation of the solar system. The initials C.R. refer to the Lamb. There are two of us in one. This is described as two animals. One is a fish and lives in the watery element. The other is a bird and lives in the airy element. They are dissimilar in their behaviors but are similar in that they both inhabit fluids. The movement at different times pulls and pushes us in many patterns. The band decan of Pisces is related to the celebration of the god Janus. At first this may perhaps lead to confusion. Keep in mind what this band connects. The string units two fish that would travel separately. Due to this band this fish must swim together. The zodiacal sign of Pisces represents the astral world. The drug of Nepenthe ( νηπενθές ) chases away sorrow. It quiets all pain and strife. By taking this the forgetting of every ill is achieved. This is mentioned in Odyssey Book 4 verse 214-231, of Homer. Maurice Nicoll understood the function of Nepenthe when wrote down the following verses:
Give me Nepenthe with lulling eyes to shut away the world! To sleep, to dream, and in this clover-scented air slip through imprisoning time and find my spirit free! Alas, not this shalt thou escape from time. Thou wilt return again and yet again till thou hast paid the uttermost farthing. Didst thou not know time is a debtors prison? Owe not Nepenthe. This is included in the opening chapters of the text, Living Time and the integration of the life, published in 1952. Are you a follower of Apollo? The name Apollonius means follower of Apollo. This of course means that there is more to this figure than a biography can tell. Apollo being a solar deity implies that Apollonius is a password to active the four dormant solar centers in the head. As a man we know little of him. As as author we know a little more. Apollonius hailed from a city called Tyana. This is located in Asia Minor. His name in Greek is written as Ἀπολλώνιος ὁ Τυανεύς. Apollonius, has been estimated to have resided in that region between 15 AD to 100 AD. Some written works exist and a collection by G. R. S. Mead can be accessed at this site. Another version of the same work can be found at this site. The author called Philostratus wrote a biography of Apollonius as a series of letters. This work can be accessed at this site. This author was believed to be around 170 AD to 245 AD in Greece. Another version of this same work can be accessed at this site here. The city of Tyana is important to us because it is on the road to Damascus. The paths to initiation are expressed in the Hours of Apollonius. The information for this process is tied up with music and art.The written description is called Nychtemeron. This is also spelled Nuctemeron. In Greek it is written as ( νυχθήμερον ). The name veils two higher functions you will need to know. Those of night and of day. The names of God involve two angels names. One of day , and One of night. These must be incorporated into the planetary schemes that have not currently been done so. The roles of night and day take on important consequences. When these exercises are carried out. The Mind represented as the Sun has different stages of solar activity. At Sun rise and Sun set the powers differ than they do at noon. During solar Eclipses the day becomes night. Therefore what we are dealing with is changing conscious states. A work published by a french author ( Éliphas Lévi Zahed ) describes the hours in a series of short prose lines. Suitable for the intention of musical composition. The origins of this work involves a story yet to be written. The Greek text source was introduced by way of Gilbert Gautrinus. This was listed in his De Vita et Morte Moysis, livre III, page 206. From here the desired passages were taken by Laurent Moshemius and included in his Historico-Oitical Observations, Amsterdam, 1721. Lévi, translated and explained the passages. In the french version of the text the Greek passages are written above the french. The snakes of Hermes staff are the three active signals along the spine. These are Ida, Pingla. The two witnesses and Sushumna. Heremes involves the skull as well were the serpents mouths issue forth their light. To understand the name Nuctemeron, think of light issuing forth darkness. Twelfth Hour Here are accomplished the deeds of the eternal light. A visual imagery of the hours is provided in the night sky. In the Tarot of the Bohemians, the author Papus ( Gérard Encausse )included F Ch. Barlet's essay on this important subject. A very brief biography on Barlet can be found here, for those interested. Placed upon an injured limb, or used for a malady the agent would function as a cure. This irresistible current has touched the initiate on terrestrial heights. Impurity leads to destruction. The damage is based on how low an opinion you have of yourself. Incoherent mysticism, folly, disintegration, ignorance, all obtain from your own energy. This is from the Sola Busca tarot. The work was commissioned in the late fifteenth century and constructed by Mattia Serrati da Cosandola. Some information is available on the internet at this link. When reading a tarot image or mediating on a painting it is very important to not interpret into material realm. The tarot teaches us not to accept face value words and images. Therefore more than one tarot painting is possible for one key. By allowing a meditation you will begin the journey of unifying the mind. The riddle of the Sphinx has not been discerned by the physical realm. You must require knowledge of what the numbers mean. Their information is inscribed in their shapes. The animal that goes on four feet in the morning implies inner knowledge not of a child crawling on four limbs to move. The key is 4. What does 4 mean? It is the number of realization. It expresses matter through its instincts. This is the number of realization for it is the door to the sacred tree of knowledge by its very shape it is a door. Realization by the sensations. At Noon we have surpassed the hours of the morning. This being walks upon two feet. The number is binary. The terms appear in the language of extremes without any degree of cetainity. This is called science. The image of the intellectual is filled with doubts the more they engage. How does mixing of bad with good produce good? This noon is not a real maturity of humanity. Two provides knowledge of opposite forces. How than to utilize these forces humanity cannot answer. In the evening the being walks upon 3 feet. The third is not a cane. The number three is the trinity. It is the third force that balances the two opposing forces. Without a third force no outcome will exist. That means no physical observable will be produced for our physical senses and material minds to detect. When spirit descends into matter the polarity of the current is negative to positive. This flow is called involution. When spirit re-ascends, that is when spirit leaves matter and returns to its origin the flow is called evolution. The following Genii names can be found in the supplement page 389 of Transcendental Magic its Doctrine and Ritual by Eliphas Levi. Details The power of the magus is in his judgment, which enables him to avoid the confusion consequent on antinomy and the antagonism of principles ; he practices the divination of the sages, but he despises the illusions of enchanters who are the slaves of fornication, artists in poisons, ministers of bestial love ; in this way he is victorious over fatality, which is the genius of sport. Genii of the Fifth Hour ZEIRNA, genius of infirmities. TABLIBIK, genius of fascination. TACRITAU, genius of goetic magic. SUPHLATUS, genius of the dust. SAIR, genius of the stibium of the sages. BARCUS, genius of the quintessence. CAMAYSAR, genius of the marriage of contraries. Details Triumphing over human infirmities, the magus is no longer the sport of fascination ; he tramples on the vain and dangerous practices of goetic magic, the whole power of which is but dust driven before the wind ; but he possesses the stibium of the sages ; he is armed with all the creative powers of the quintessence; and he produces at will the harmony which results from the analogy and the marriage of contraries. Genii of the Sixth Hour TABRIS, genius of free will. SUSABO, genius of voyages. EIRNILUS, genius of fruits. NITIKA, genius of precious stones. HAATAN, genius who conceals treasures. HATIPHAS, genius of attire. ZAREN, avenging genius. Details The magus is free ; he is the occult king of the earth, and he traverses it as one passing through his own domain. In his voyages he becomes acquainted with the juices of plants and fruits, and with the virtues of precious stones ; he compels the genius who conceals the treasures of nature to deliver him all his secrets ; he thus penetrates the mysteries of form ; understands the vestures of earth and speech ; and if he be misconstrued, if the nations are inhospitable towards him, if he pass doing good but receiving outrages, then is he ever followed by the avenging genius. Genii of the Seventh Hour SIALUL, genius of prosperity. SABRUS, sustaining genius. LIBRABIS, genius of hidden gold. MIZGITARI, genius of eagles. CAUSUB, serpent-charming genius. SALILUS, genius who sets doors open. JAZER, genius who compels love Details The septenary expresses the victory of the magus ; who gives prosperity to men and nations ; who sustains them by his sublime instructions ; who broods like the eagle ; who directs the currents of the astral fire, represented by serpents ; the gates of all sanctuaries are open to him, and in him all souls who yearn for truth repose their trust ; he is beautiful in his moral grandeur ; and everywhere does he take with him that genius by the power of which we obtain love. Genii of the Eighth Hour NANTUR, genius of writing. TOGLAS, genius of treasures. ZALBURIS, genius of theraputics. ALPHUN, genius of doves. TUKIPHAT, genius of the schamir. ZIZUPH, genius of mysteries. CUNIALI, genius of association. Details These are the genii who obey the true magus ; the doves represent religious ideas; the schamir is an allegorical diamond, which in magical traditions represents the stone of the sages, or that force which nothing can resist, because it is based on truth. The Arabs still say that the schamir, originally given to Adam and lost by him after his fall, was recovered by Enoch and possessed by Zoroaster ; and that Solomon subsequently received it from an angel when he entreated wisdom from God. By means of this magical diamond, Solomon himself dressed the stones of the temple merely by touching them with the schamir. The word is a composite of the words "to protect and bring about change." The word signifies the Sun. This is mentioned in Manly P. Hall The Lost Keys of Freemasonry. This light from the Sun is perpetually being incorporated into the Philosophers Stone. From this stone Solomon can generate vast quantities of gold and silver. These metals are made to decorate the Temple. Genii of the Ninth Hour EISNUCH, genius of agriculture. SUCLAGUS, genius of fire. KIRTABUS, genius of languages. SABLIL, genius who discovers thieves. SCHACHLJL, genius of the sun's rays. COLOPATIRON, genius who sets prisons open. ZEFFAK, genius of irrevocable choice. Details This number, says Apollonius, must be passed over in silence, because it contains the great secrets of the initiate, the power which fructifies the earth, the mysteries of secret fire, the universal key of languages, the second sight from which evil-doers cannot remain concealed. The great laws of equilibrium and of luminous motion represented by the four animals of the Kabbalah, and in Greek mythology by the four horses of the sun, the key of the emancipation of bodies and souls, opening all prisons, and that power of eternal choice which completes the creation of man and establishes him in immortality. Genii of the Tenth Hour SEZARBIL, devil or hostile genius. AZEUPH, destroyer of children. ARMILUS, genius of cupidity. KATARIS, genius of dogs or of the profane. RAZANIL, genius of the onyx. BUCAPHI, genius of stryges. MASTHO, genius of delusive appearances. Details Numbers end with nine, and the distinctive sign of the denary is zero, itself without value, added to unity. The genii of the tenth hour represent all which, being nothing in itself, receives great power from opinion, and can suffer consequently the omnipotence of the sage. We tread here on hot earth, and we must be permitted to omit elucidations to the profane as to the devil, who is their master, or the destroyer of children, who is their love, or the cupidity, which is their god, or the dogs, to which we do not compare them, or to the onyx, which they possess not, or to the stryges, who are their courtesans, or to the false appearances which they take for truth. Genii of the Eleventh Hour EGLUN, genius of the lightning. ZUPHLAS, genius of forests. PHALDOR, genius of oracles. ROSABIS, genius of metals. ADJUCHAS, genius of rocks. ZOPHAS, genius of pantacles. HALACHO, genius of sympathies. Details The lightning obeys man ; it becomes the vehicle of his will, the instrument of his power, the light of his torches ; the oaks of the sacred forests utter oracles : metals change and transmute into gold, or become talismans ; rocks move from their foundation, and, drawn by the lyre of the grand hierophant, touched by the mysterious schamir, transform into temples and palaces ; dogmas evolve ; symbols represented by pantacles become efficacious ; minds are enchained by powerful sympathies, and obey the laws of family and friendship. Genii of the Twelfth Hour TARAB, genius of extortion, MISRAN, genius of persecution. LABUS, genius of inquistion. KALAB, genius of sacred vessels. HAHAB, genius of royal tables. MARNES, genius of the discernment of spirits. SELLEN, genius of the favor of the great. Details Here now is the fate which the magi must expect, and how their sacrifice must be consummated ; for after the conquest of life, they must know how to immolate themselves in order to be reborn immortal. They will suffer extortion; gold, pleasure, vengeance will be required of them, and if they fail to satisfy vulgar cupidities they will be the objects of persecution and inquisition ; yet the sacred vessels are not profaned ; they are made for royal tables, that is, for the feasts of the understanding. By the discernment of spirits they will know how to protect themselves from the favor of the great, and they will remain invincible in their strength and in their liberty. The Hebraic sacred texts also contains the Nuctemeron. Eliphas Levi on page 395 of the same text (English version) included a version. King Solomon offers this information. It is the divine Chokmah, Number 2 on the tree of life diagram, who is described as the bride Wisdom of God. She built and house unto her self and dressed it with two pillars. Wisdom who builds her house according to regular and numerical architecture is the exact science which rules in the works of God. The compass and the square of God are being used to make structures such as homes and temples sound, firm, an stable. The seven pillars of wisdom are the seven primordial days. These are the lower seven Sephiroth on the tree of life. Following her building Wisdom immolated her victims, mingled her wine, spread the table, and despatched her servitors. The victims are the natural forces which are propagated by undergoing a species of death. The mingled wine is the universal fluid. The table is the world with waters full of fishes. Recall the tarot painting entitled The World. The servants of Chokmah, (Wisdom) number 2 on the tree of life diagram, are the souls of Adam and Chavah (Eve). The earth of which Adam was formed was taken from the entire mass of the world. His head is Israel, his body is Babylon, his limbs are the nations of the earth. First Hour God combines the scattered fragments of the earth; he kneads them together, and forms one mass, which it is his will to animate. Man is the synthesis of the created world; in him recurs the creative unity; he is made in the image and likeness of God. Second Hour God designs the form of the body; he separates it into two sections, so that the organs may be double, for all force and all life result from two, and it is thus the Elohim made all things. Everything lives by movement, everything is maintained by equilibrium, and harmony results from the analogy of contraries; this law is the form of forms, the first manifestation of the activity and fecundity of God. Third Hour The limbs of man, obeying the law of life, manifest of themselves and are completed by the generative organ, which is composed of one and two, figure of the triadic number The triad issues spontaneously from the duad; the movement which produces two also produces three; three is the important number, IT IS A KEY OF NUMBERS, for it is the first numerical synthesis, in geometry it is the triangle, the first complete and enclosed figure, generatrix of an infinity of triangles, whether like or unlike. In the occult the triangle is a perpetual machine. It has the power to reproduce itself. Fourth Hour God breaths upon the face of man and imparts to him a soul. The tetrad, which geometrically gives the cross and the square, is a perfect number; now it is in perfection of form that the intelligent soul manifests; according to this revelation of the Mischna, the child would not become animated in the mother's womb till after the complete formation of all of its members. Fifth Hour Man stands upon his feet, he is weaned from earth, he walks and goes where he will. The number five is that of the soul, typified by the quintessence (alchemy for physical soul), which results from the equilibrium of the four elements; in the tarot this number is represented by the high priest or spiritual autocrat, type of human will, the high-priestess who alone decides our enternal destinies. Sixth Hour The animals pass before Adam, and gives a suitable name to each. Do you know by the word animals, what is the meaning? Man by toil subdues the earth and overcomes the animals; by the manifestation of his liberty he produces his word or speech in the environment which obeys him; herein primordial creation is completed. God formed man on the sixth day, but at the sixth hour of the day man fulfills the work of God, and to some extent recreates himself, by enthroning himself as king of nature, which he subjects by his speech. The zodiac also describes the twelve sections of man, which the four somatic divisions serve. These are blood circulation, The Lion. Food digestion and waste elimination, The eagle, and The Human. Lastly where the treasures are stored the spleen and liver, The Ox. The Man must gain control. That is overcome the animals. Man here is the mind. To be ruled by passion is not being able to make your own choices. You must be the ruler. It is in this hour than we must overcome the body systems. The conscious must overcome the automatic nervous system. Seventh Hour God gives Adam a companion brought forth out of the man's own substance. When God had created man in his own image, He rested on the seventh day, for He had given unto Himself a fruitful bride who would unceasingly work for Him; nature is the bride of God, and God rests on her. Man, becoming creator in his turn by means of the word, gives himself a companion like unto himself, on whose love he many lean hence-forth; woman is the work of man ; by loving her, he makes her beautiful and he also, makes her a mother; woman is true human nature, daughter and mother of man, granddaughter, and grandmother of God. Eighth Hour Adam and Eve enter the nuptial bed; they are two when they lie down, and when they arise they are four. The number four is significant. The tetrad joined to the tetrad represents form balancing form, creation issuing from creation, the eternal equipoise of life; seven being the number of God's rest, the unity which follows it signifies man, who toils and co-operates with nature in the work of nature. Ninth Hour God imposes his law on man. Nine is the number of initiation, because, being composed of three times three, it represents the divine idea and the absolute philosophy of numbers, for which reason Apollonius says that the mysteries of the number nine are not to be revealed. Tenth Hour At the tenth hour Adam falls into sin. According to the kabbalist ten is the number of matter, of which the special sign in 0. For zero is the symbol of the egg. The sephira number 10 represents Malkuth (Kingdom). This is represented in playing cards as number 10. The rank of the suit is 10 is the proper terminology. This kingdom means many things as you transform your understanding will change. Keep an open mind. In this description the kingdom, Malkuth, takes on the exterior and material substance; the sin of Adam is therefore materialism, and the fruit which he plucks from the tree represnts flesh isolated from spirit. The glyph for 0 (zero) represents spirit. The spirit separated from unity is what the number 10 represents. The number 10 is the schism. On the left side is a despoiled unity and on the other is nothingness. Eleventh Hour At the eleventh hour the sinner is condemned to labour, and to expiate his sin by suffering. The tarot key 11 is entitled Strength. Some paintings also name Force. (Some tarot decks place the painting in different sections. The Marsallie deck, key 11; Waite deck, key 8). This painting represents force, which is acquired through trials; God sends man pain as a means of salvation, and hence he must strive and endure that he may conquer intelligence and life. Twelfth Hour Man and woman undergo their sentence; the expiation begins, and the liberator is promised. Such is the completion of moral birth; man is fulfilled, for he is dedicated to the sacrifice which regenerates; the exile of Adam is like that of OEdipus; like OEdipus he becomes the father of two enemies, but the daughter of OEDipus is the pious and virginal Antigone, while Mary issues from the race of Adam. The information contained in these scriptures is esoteric they describe the forces of nature, subnature, and supernature. Why speak of these hours? The ritual process for a neophyte to become a magi is written in many texts. All traditions have these first twelve hours. A place often overlooked is in the synoptic gospels entitled Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. These texts include the hours to allow the neophyte access. Only initiates are aware of this knowledge. The physiological processes of all worlds can be followed in these texts. The work of mental and physical transmutation is the operation of the Sun. Those who are called to the Great Work begin their journey here. The Sun is the mind. When the kundalini reaches the brain centers the consciousness passes from the physical to the psychic plane. A shift in dimensions will be experienced. The psychic plane exceeds three dimensions. At the expiration of the sixth hour the Sun (the mind) is shorn of its rays. This is represented by a solar eclipse. Darkness reigns: the consciousness here passes from the psychic state to the state beyond dreams. The psychic state is characterized by intense dreaming. The state of dreamless sleep is described as dreamless blankness. The kundalini was described in the earlier Egyptian tradition as the Heavenly messenger. Later this powerful current was described as the serpent Apep. The Apophis. The Sun barge of Ra (The Mind) did battle with Apep. Drawings of Apep show many folds of a wave. To illustrate that it is a current. At the ninth hour the Sun regains its powers and the rays reappear. Here consciousness has passed into a purely divine state. Ieous breaths his last, the veil is rent, and the Sun is again crowned with rays. In the text John there is an unusual passage not discussed much. It is John 4:6 Now Jacob's well was there. Iesu therefore being wearied with his journey, sat thus on the well: and it was about the sixth hour. This is the hour used by initiates in their transformation. Samaria is a region above Judea. This means that Samaria is located in the upper chest. This involves the liver, spleen, gall badder, and Thymus. Judea is the cardiac region and blood circulation is in Galilee. The lungs are Cana. Our woman of Samaria is the personification of the soul. She has had five husbands. These are the five senses. We understand this is a rite of initiation because the woman is living with another man who is not her husband. The soul is detaching from the physical world and turning to inward pursuits. When the woman and her husband both came out of the city to meet the oil in the blood they leave behind all that is known and familiar. The oil has healing effect on them. In Matthew (XX) chapter 20: 1-16 there is another initiation. It has been presented as a parable. Pay attention to where the hours are mentioned and what are the description of the individuals. The Kingdom of Heaven is likened to a householder who sends labourers at intervals to work in his vineyard. For the kingdom of heaven is like unto a man that is a householder, which went out early in the morning to hire labourers into his vineyard. And when he had agreed with the labourers for a penny a day, he sent them into his vineyard. And he went out about the third hour, and saw others standing in the market place idle; and to them he said, Go ye also into the vineyard, and whatsoever is right I will give you. And they went their way. Again he went out about the sixth and ninth hour, and did likewise. And about the eleventh hour he went out, and found others standing; and he said unto them, Why stand ye here all the day idle? They say unto him, Because no man hath hired us. He saith unto them, Go ye also into the vineyard. And when even was come, the lord of the vineyard saith unto his steward, Call the labourers, and pay them their hire, beginning from the last unto the first. And when they came that were hired about the eleventh hour, they received every man a penny. And when the first came, they supposed that they would receive more; and they likewise received every man a penny. And when they received it, they murmured against the householder, saying, These last have spent but one hour, and thou hast made them equal unto us, which have borne the burden of the day and the scorching heat. But he answered and said to one of them, Friend, I do thee no wrong: didst thou not agree with me for a penny? Take up that which is thine, and go thy way; it is my will to give unto this last, even as unto thee. Is it not lawful for me to do what I will with mine own? or is thine eye evil, because I am good? So the last shall be first, and the first last. The eleventh hour involves the harvest from the long intestine. The tarot imagery key 11. (Marseille deck, tarot key 8 Waite deck) The reason for placing this painting at key 11 is for the eleventh hour. The key 8 position describes Leo, the cardiac region between key 7, Cancer, the upper chest, and key 9, Virgo the digestive system. Thus the difference is that Marseille numbering matches the hours used by initiates in their climb from neophyte to magi. The Waite numbering matches positions of the body, based on the Hebrew lettering and the zodiac. The Night of decree, The night of power Laylat al-Qadar ( لیلة القدر ) Surah 97:1-5 1 We have indeed revealed this (message) in the Night of Power: 2 And what will explain to thee what the night of power is? 3 The Night of Power is better than a Thousand Months. 4 Therein come down the angels and spirits by Allah's permission, On every errand: 5 Peace!...this until the rise of morn! The Night of Power is described in the Surah ( سُورَة ) in the Qur'an. In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the compassionate, Truly , We have sent This in the Night of Power . And What is the Night of Power. The Night of Power is better than a thousand nights (months); The angels and spirits descend in It by the will of their Lord. It is peace for all until the rise of dawn. The Night of Power is the yoga of Samadhi ( समाधी ). The word yoga means to unite. Samadhi means to form union with God. The Hymn of Samadhi (Written by Swami Vivekananda). LO! The Sun is not, nor the comely moon, all Light becomes extinct. The moon is reference to the soul. In the Great Void of space floats, shadow-like the image of the universe. In the void of mind (the involution) there floats the fleeing universe. This phenomenon is described as currents. The mind rises and floats, sinks again ceaseless, in the current of "I". Slowly, slowly, the shadow multitude enters the primal womb. This experiences the current "I AM". When the current stops The two voids have merged. At this position we are beyond speech and mind. Those whose Heart understands knows Truth. Vast Face Small Face. As faces merge powers increase. What once was misunderstood now becomes clear. The joining is described by the merging of two faces. The two faces each have something to offer the other. The functions of the mind are diagramed below. Study the diagram carefully. On the small face there are the psychological functions of wisdom, understanding, knowledge, respect, counsel, and strength. On the vast face are crown, glory, joy, love, eternity, and beauty. The analytical capabilities are on the lower face. The higher functions are on the vast face. A Grateful Find by the Spirit. A Call to ALL. The Smaragdine table is known to occultists to be the steps of initiation described in these 12 hours of the night and day. Below is a version translated by Fulcanelli. By examining closely these are to be recited in a state of reduced consciousness. That is beyond meditation with the help of Saturn. After all concentration is voluntary reduction of consciousness that leads to understanding. This is why the second Sephira on the tree of life called Binah ( בינה ) is in the sphere of Saturn. These powerful passages are calling those who answer to transform into Magi. 1) This is the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth:- 2) As below, so above; and as above so below. With this knowledge alone you may work miracles. 3) And since all things exist in and emanate from the ONE Who is the ultimate Cause, so all things are born after their kind from this ONE. 4) The Sun is the father, the Moon the mother; 5) the wind carried it in his belly. Earth is its nurse and its guardian. 6) It is the Father of all things, 6a) the eternal Will is contained in it. 7) Here, on earth, its strength, its power remain one and undivided. 7a) Earth must be separated from fire, the subtle from the dense, gently with unremitting care. 8) It arises from the earth and descends from heaven; it gathers to itself the strength of things above and things below. 9) By means of this one thing all the glory of the world shall be yours and all obscurity flee from you. 10) It is power, strong with the strength of all power, for it will penetrate all mysteries and dispel all ignorance. 11) By it the world was created. 12) From it are born manifold wonders, the means to achieving which are here given 13) It is for this reason that I am called Hermes Trismegistus; for I possess the three essentials of the philosophy of the universe. 14) This is is the sum total of the work of the Sun. The word Trismegistus is thrice great. The tris means a three fold symmetry. According to this knowledge we can now understand why Hermes is thrice great. The 3 corresponds to the 3 currents traveling along an activated spine. These are ida ( इडा ), pingala ( पिङ्गला ), and sushumna ( सुषुम्ना ). The pingala nadi is called the sun channel. This channel is on the right. The right nostril. The ida nadi is called the lunar channel, and this is on the left. The left nostril. The central sushumna nadi is called the fire channel. The minor arcana of the Tarot represents this as the four of cups. Why four? Because it is possible to draw a hypercube. Why a cube? The Holy city of Jerusalem is a cube. The constellation of Argos that in the Greek tradition the argonauts sailed in is the same ship that Iesu saw. The starting point is Cancer. One complete circuit of the sun brings us back to Cancer. This ship is the celestial representation of the Ark. The Noah's Ark is a representation of the psychic body. This is the Sukshma Shaira ( सूक्ष्मशरीर ). This subtle body preserves the seed of all living things. It is this very ark where Iesu finds Ioannes (Taurus) and Iakobos (Gemini) in a boat as Iesu completed his circuit across the skies.
Have you ever wondered what the meaning the two words "living creatures" actually indicate? They are obscured in the very words chosen. Upon hearing the words "living creatures" no conclusion can be reached as to what is actually implied. Therefore if the mind cannot know by the name the fantasy powers of the mind can arise to the challenge. In fact it was a fancy to describe them as the shapes of a spacecraft. They have also been used to describe the four sides of the brain stem. The origin of the word comes from a Greek text. It is written in Greek as ζῷα γέμοντα. These words are written in a Greek text known as the Revelation of Johanne. This words are found in chapter 4, verse 6. The meaning of Revelation means to reveal the inner parts of the body of Johanne. Who is this Johanne? It is the seven nerve clusters along the spinal column and are necessary to be controlled first before any further work can be achieved in the struggle for independence. The purpose behind this text is to enable the reader the power of self conquest. What kind of conquest? Why the unification of the mind, and body and the beginning to unify soul and spirit. This process begins with an initiation of the seven nerve centers spelled out by the Greek letters I O A N N E and S. These letters are in correspondence with the seven planetary roman names. That is Luna (Moon), Sol (Sun), Mercury, Venus, Mars, Saturn, Jupiter. These map to the seven nerve clusters. They are beginning from the head to the tail of the spine called Cavernous (Pineal gland system), Conarium (Pituitary body), Pharyngeal (throat), Cardiac, Epigastric (Solar Plexus), Prostatic, Sacral. The chakra names are Ajna, Sahasrara, Vishuddhi, Anahata, Manipuraka, Adhishthana, Muladhara. The seven city churches correspond to these names. Each of the seven names just happen to be located in Asia Minor. These cities are veiled references to places upon your nerve clusters along the spine of the body. In order to understand why these cities were chosen you must review the history of what these cities were famous for in the Greek world. Outside this narrative it will be difficult and the reader must rely upon the vedic literature to relate the names with the physiological nerve clusters being described. 1 Laodikeia, is a city where an eye medicine is made. This is called Phrygian powder. Remember the Phrygian hat is a symbol of inner development. It is worn as a symbol of liberty in some circles of mental development. So therefore this powder has unique properties of freeing the user from slavery. A slave hence to materialism. Conarium (Pituitary body), Sahasrara The Phrygian hat worn by Mithra, can be observed in this carving. Those desiring independence enjoy the right to wear such a hat. The wearer without the activation of the body systems cannot begin to win freedom until they learn how to conquer their own world. The vedic literature earnestly points out the importance of conquering your own chakras. Mystics point out that no one can achieve independence until the formation of the fifth mind. This is represented in art as a five pointed star. 2 Some of the old structures of Philadelphia. Philadelphia, is a city where many earthquakes occur. When the seal corresponding to Philadelphia is opened a large earthquake is experienced. The effects of the kundalini rising to Philadelphia is described with violent adjectives and is represented by trumpet calls. Hence the opening of the sixth seal occurs with a large earthquake. Cavernous (Pineal gland system), Ajna 3 Sardeis, This city has a name suggesting the flesh color of the throat organ. This is Sardion or the stone Carnelian. Pharyngeal (throat). Vishuddhi 4 Thyateria, This city is famous for its production of scarlet dyes. The red is the color of the blood. The color describes the city as the cardiac and circulatory system center. The Cardiac nerve cluster. Anahata 5 Pergamos, This city has a temple to AEsculapius. This is the center of physic healing in the body. This means that at the solar plexus the healing will occur at this nerve cluster. Epigastric (Solar Plexus). Manipuraka 6 Smyrna, This city is renown for the Fig industry. The symbol of the fig is used for reproduction. This is the Prostatic nerve cluster. Adhishthana 7 Ephesos is a city that has a famous temple dedicated to the goddess Artemis (Diana, Roman). This temple and the art within it represents in the body the origin of the regenerative force. The World Mother is the name of this force. This nerve cluster is where the third signal, the Sushumna, along the spine, will emerge once the signals of ida and pingla have been established. The Sacral nerve cluster. Muladhara. A hint to understanding what this sculpture is describing can be seen in the lower part of the body. The three columns of 6 animals and 1 flower (Chakra) at the base describe the three signals all activated. The animals are Lion, Ox, Eagle, Cow, Deer, Horse (difficult to see clearly, from the image). The animals are galloping. The application of animals to represent nerves and organs was included in the Artists depiction. The lion is the representation of the solar center. Notice the zodiac around the shoulders. Capricorn, Sagittarius, Scorpio, and Virgo can be seen. The order of the zodiac is not conventional. This is because the activation of the solar force must be the last one. The sequence is first 2 Cancer, 3 Virgo, 4 Libra, 5 Scorpio, 6 Sagittarius. This establishes the ida and Pingla signals. The second pass is 1Leo, 2 Cancer, 3 Virgo, 4 Libra, 5 Scorpio, 6 Sagittarius, 7 Capricorn. This establishes the third signal Sushumna. We are dealing with three bodies. The spiritual body called in Greek the soma pneumatikon. The psychic body called the soma psychikon. The physical body called the soma or sarx = flesh. In the Upanishads these bodies are termed the causal body, the Karana Sharia. The subtle body or Sukshma Sharia in Sanskrit. The heavy or gross body is called the Shula Sharia. The English translation of Revelation is below: "and before the throne, as it were a sea of glass like a crystal; and in the midst of the throne, and round about the throne, four living creatures full of eyes before and behind." The glass sea refers to the etheric world. There are four living creatures. In the text they are numbered one through four in a specified order 1, 2, 3, 4. In verse 7 of the same text the names and visual description is given. "And the first creature was like a lion, and the second creature like a calf, and the third creature had a face as of a man, and the fourth creature was like a flying eagle." To understand what these animals mean we must consider how they support the throne. One can observe in Raphael's work, entitled Ezekiel's vision, the four living creatures. They appear engaged in a conversion. What are they talking about? Neuroscientists would love to know. What do these figures represent? The four living creatures are involved in maintaining the throne. Number 1)The Lion signify's the blood circulatory and pulmonary systems. Number 2) The Calf, or ox represents the spleen and liver. This is the storehouse of the seeds that the body produces. Number 3) The Human figure represents bowel and hence the elimination system. Number 4) The Eagle represents eating. This is the stomach and the small intestine. The images of these figures change among the different traditions. Below is the Egyptian tradition. Hapi -Ape- Lower intestines, Bowels. Called the digger. The symbol of Ape in Egyptian work means the element state. Arranged in the North position. Duamutef -Jackal- The circulatory, and Pulmonary system. Blood and Breath. Called the cutter. Arranged in the South position. Kebehsenuef -Hawk- Purification systems. Kidney, Liver. Called the bleeder. Arranged in the West position. Imsety (Mesti) -Human Face- Stomach, small intestine. Digestion. Called the carpenter. Food is used to build structures by the carpenter. Arranged in the East position The Egyptian tradition describes these four as standing upon the papyrus of the earth. This of course is the torso of the body. The throne of course is the head where the cerebrum can be found. On the Tarot key 21, known as The World we can know explain and understand the role of the four animals on the corners upon the painting. Although not drawn the region described by each animal is called the sphere of Mercury. The vesica piscis in the center is formed by the overlap of two spheres of Saturn. The leaves of the wreath are four leaves thick and correspond to the the four elements of fire, water, air, earth. The shape of the wreath represents the zodiac. The signs can be drawn upon the region of the wreath and they would fit. Essentially we are viewing the door or completed body. This is the Merkabah ( מרכבה ) or divine chariot. The Lamb opens one of the seals. This begins with the four divisions of the body. The Lion calls forth. This means the circulatory system. A white horse with a rider wielding a bow. This means we start the ida and pingla currents at the second charkra under Jupiter for the bow indicates the nervous system and is represented by Sagittarius. Note the lamb opens the second seal. The pineal gland invokes the prostrate gland. The Ox calls forth. This means the spleen and liver aids the lamb. Another seal is opened and a red horse comes forth. The rider has a large sword. This rider has the power to take away peace from the earth. Mars acts upon the solar plexus. A third seal is opened by the lamb. A third seal is opened. The Human figure calls forth. This means the elimination system and especially the bowels are necessary to allow the lamb in activating the cardiac system. A rider on a black horse appears holding scales. This is Venus in Libra. A forth seal is openned by the lamb. The Eagle calls forth. This is the digestive system of stomach and small intestine. An unusual pair of riders share a pale yellow horse. These are Death and Hades. This is Mercury in Virgo and corresponds with the throat region. This completes the somatic divisions of the body. The animals do not make further calls at this point. The fifth seal is opened by the lamb. This corresponds to the Cavernous ganglion. This is Moon in Cancer. The sixth seal is opened by the lamb. This corresponds to the sacral plexus. This is Saturn in Capricorn. This nerve system when awaken allows the Sushumna to impinge upon the cerebral system along the spine. The seventh seal is Sun in Leo. The Pituitary body awakens. The seven spiritual voices can be heard. They are described in revelation as trumpet blasts. The role of the Conqueror I have united myself, assembling myself together from the four quarters of the universe and joining together the members that were scattered abroad. Taken from the Gospel of Phillip. This is a useful description of how the body systems are used in uniting the mind. That is by Yoga. The unification of the body and the mind. This overlooked piece of information is why practitioners of yoga, as well as the other arts, alchemy, magic, tai chi, and so on, often find themselves confused when they follow the directions and do not experience the trumpet calls. This means that the living animals cannot be ignored when unifying all the minds. The liver and spleen of the ox representation is called the Court of the Yellow Emperor in Chinese alchemy texts. What then does this tell you about the origin of the Yellow Emperor. Who is this Yellow Emperor? A chariot can be driven. It can house a very important figure. That of course is YOU. The double pyramid is the entry to the body and the various entities that are involved. This is a thinking guide to achieve control of the chariot. The living animals are the four Kerabs. The now familiar animals of Ox, Human, Eagle, Lion all have wings. This wings allow communication to ensure between the various regions. If one likes to talk of spaceships then the physical body is surely a spaceship. This is the diagram of the chariot. The Hebrew letters marked as wings are meditations. You can unify the mind and body by meditating on the letter. This is the beginning of path working. You can begin to focus visual sight until spiritual sight takes over. This is the intended purpose of Scrying with reflective surfaces. Some use water, or glass, or metal reflections. The advanced method is to Scry with the contours of the Hebrew letters. With the information learned in the article study the structure carefully. The Hebrew letter positions correspond to the Major arcana paintings. Therefore the paths or mental states indicated can be crossed just as in path working on tree diagrams. By studying the effects of the path on the physiological systems the student can achieve an understanding of how the path behaves. You will notice that the wing connecting the west with the firmament is assigned the path letter ( לְ ) Lamed. This glyph is a control of the ox, called the ox-goad. The 22nd path is called the Faithful Intelligence. Spiritual values are increased, and all dwellers on earth are nearly under its shadow. This is spiritual control of the liver and spleen. The word dwellers includes the organs connected to the spinal chord. This is the earth spoken of. The liver and spleen are inhabitants of the earth as they are connected to the spinal chord. Notice how the wing assigned to the letter Lamed connects the Ox to the Firmament. Readers of these articles know what the Abyss actually means. The contour is the next way to read nature. We are accustomed to understanding abstract text and identify pure color with pure tone. The next challenge in reading esoteric text is in unifying the sense of touch with the other senses. The lines labeled as wings refer to auric energy patterns. Currently they can be accessed through mediation trained to use the imagination. This requires the spiritual control of imagination. This avoids fantasy. The contours of the butterfly wing are formed by lines creating a diffraction pattern. The color appears by the spacing between the lines and air. Not all the light passes through the wing patterns. We must now begin to sense these gratings. The paths on the chariot diagram connect to physiological systems. To work with a path properly we must sense the organs that form each of the systems. They are a part of us. They are not foreign to our own mind. They actually contribute to our thoughts. This is the activities of the magician. The unification and call of these parts to work together, and not as separate automatic entities. The path labeled as ( רֵ ) Resh is applied to two different wings. These wings connect the Bowels, represented by the Human to the Throne. The other wing connects the circulatory system, represented by the Lion to the Throne. This letter is the 30th path. It is called the path of Collecting Intelligence. The Astrologers deduce from this path the judgement of the stars. The word star means nerve clusters. From the celestial signs the Astrologers are able to make perfections of their science according to the rules of their resolutions. You must ask yourself what does Astrologer mean. How do you learn? How do you go about your activities? The Personality operates throughout the body to gather experiences for the spirit. The personality is a chariot employed by the spirit. Because a portion of the personality operates in the physical body. This body cannot be ignored in your studies. To talk of spiritual matters means you must not exclude the physical body. In order for the higher self to work on the physical plane the personality must cooperate. The physical body is the actual crucible used to convert lead into gold by an alchemist. Many profound experiences have been discovered by path working with Resh. The glyph refers to the Head. The personality collects information for the Spirit. It can be used to unify the different systems of the body. Because the wing connecting the lion to the throne involves the circulatory system that means the soul can be accesed at this wing. This is the Toth tarot painting for the Star. We will be using it as an example of The Hebrew letter is ( צ ) Tzaddi. Please read below for further information. This image deals with production from the spirit. The wing between the ox and the eagle connects the spleen with the digestive system. This is where the minor arcana coins store their profits into the cups. The shape of a cup on the tarot painting is made to look as a holy grail intentionally. This is where food becomes blood corpuscles. The new blood is prepared in the chalices known as the liver and the spleen. The Hebrew letter is ( צ ) Tzaddi. It is in the shape of a fishing hook. This means as a readers aside: The hook is placed in the waters mem ( ם ) to catch the fish nun ( נ ) . An important point of fish is that an oily substance can be secreted. In the blood fatty or oilly substances can be transported by a protein called albumen. End of readers aside. This letter indicates the 28th path and is called the Natural Intelligence. The higher self at the soul ego level connects with the lower self where personality dwells. The wing connecting the eagle (Digestion system) with the abyss is labeled Qoph ( ק ). This the twenty-ninth path. It is called the Corporeal Intelligence. This painting represents Pisces. The alchemists call this step the projection of the stone. The corporeal intelligence forms everybody which is formed beneath the whole set of worlds and increments them. The dew of heaven represented by the red yods ( י ) falling from the the sun are used to project the stone. This path controls the final production and storage of blood corpuscles. The paintings of this key 18 have an interesting effect. A viewer my induce sleep merely by looking at the image. These germs or seeds are produced in the physical body from food. The digestive center produces energy for the abyss organs to procreate. The operator may control thought production at the level of food consumption with this wing. The wing connecting the lion (blood circulation) to the abyss is labeled ( ז ) zayin. This the Seventeenth path. It is called the disposing intelligence. This provides Faith to the Righteous, and they are clothed with the Holy Spirit by it, and it is called the Foundation of Excellence in the state of higher things. This wing of ( ז ) is the control of oxygenation of the blood. It ensures that the organs of the abyss. Those including the kidneys and below receive the proper amount of blood blessed by enriched blood. The word Holy Spirit means proper breath. By application of complete breathing with full inhalation and exhalation the blood becomes enriched by the air. The Faith and the Righteous are the organs dwelling in the abyss. By use of this letter control of blood oxygenation can be achieved. This knowledge as the painting above can be used in mediations. The wing connecting the Human (the bowels and long intestine) with the abyss is labeled ( י ) yod. It can seen in the painting the head of the figure is a ( י ) yod. This position is assigned to the constellation of virgo and is concerned with digestion. This is the Twentieth Path is the Intelligence of Will. This is a means of preparation of all and each created being, and by this intelligence the existence of the Primordial Wisdom becomes known. Here is the entry point to control digestion. The will is what do you want to do? You can assign a being created from food to have a specific purpose. What are your plans? What are your goals? This letter allows a mediation to make this become an action. The preparation of all created beings means all the products from digestion. The long intestine is the herdsmen and farmer. The treasures produced are represented by the ten of pentacles (coins, shields, or disks) of the minor arcana. The wing connecting Lion (blood circulation) with Human (long intestine) is ( ט ) teth. This is how nutrients, the treasure, is transported into the blood streams that surround the long intestine. This is the Nineteenth path. It is called the Intelligence of all the activities and spiritual beings. This is called this because of the affluence diffused by it from the most high blessing and most exalted sublime glory. In the painting the woman is Virgo and the lion is Leo. This control over Leo's mouth is the end of the Harvest month of August. As Leo descends, Virgo ascends. In the long intestine the farmer reaps the harvest under Leo's sky. The blood carries away, transports the nutrients. The rich harvest from the land is depleted. Virgo controls the organs involved in digestion. Therefore through ( ט ) teth the meditator can exercise control over the harvest of products used as building material for higher structures. Each structure can be assign a thought, will, an emotion. The wing between the firmament and the lion (blood circulation) is labeled by the Hebrew letter( ה ) He. The regions of the head including the cerebrum, cerebellum, and brain stem are present in the firmament. That is the reason a faint background of a mountain can be seen in the painting. The red color is the color of the blood that transports the treasure from the long intestine. This position is the constellation of Aries and is responsible for the activities occurring in the head. The letter ( ) He is the fifteenth path. It is called the Constituting Intelligence. This is called this because it constitutes the substance of creation in pure darkness. Here is where decisions are produced out of thin air. When a thought is sensed it was suddenly there, before there was nothing. The darkness. The wing connecting the Ox (the liver and spleen) with the throne is labeled with the Hebrew letter ( כ ) Kaph. Where the created beings go is determined by this letter. In the painting the four somatic systems are placed at the four corners of the world just as they are in the Chariot Shadhai. Remember you are viewing images in different perspectives. The decisions for where germs (seeds) go are made here. The liver and the spleen are represented in the night sky as the two bears Ursa Major and Ursa Minor. Together they are called the sheep folds. The sheep are the corpuscles produced through digestion. How these sheep are to be used will occur here. The letter ( כ ) is the Twenty-first path called the Intelligence of Conciliation. This letter is known as Jupiter and one of the duties of Jupiter is to control the blood. The Intelligence of Conciliation is called this because it receives the divine influence which flows into it from its benediction upon all and each existence. The wing connecting the eagle (stomach and small intestine) is connected to the throne. This wing is labeled by the Hebrew letter ( פ ) Peh. This is the Twenty-seventh path. It is known by two names the Active Intelligence and the Exciting Intelligence. This letter is Mars. This is the initiating power.Through this intelligence every existing being receives its spirit and motion. What moves through the digestive system and in particular the small intestine provides the energy the entry way for spirit and motion. We use this letter to destroy our false conceptions. This letter also is involved in the important realm of eating. If we use the energy in a state of anger unwisely we feel upset in the stomach area. The letter ( פ ) Peh is a great tool. When young we expend it unknowingly. Not understanding how to master it and use it to control our desired outcomes. The land of the north is where gold comes from. The wing connecting the eagle and the firmament is labeled by the Hebrew letter ( ע ) Ayin. The characteristic hand sign gesture of two fingers. The middle and index finger pointing toward the eyes is the Ayin glyph. This is the Twenty-sixth path. It is called the Renovating Intelligence. This is because the Holy God renews by it all the changing things which are renewed by the creation of the world. The animation of cells, proteins, nucleic acids occurs by the pulses of involution and evolution. The whirlwind description is one view of this complex current. The painting involves the three currents that travel from the base of the spine and into the head. The source of these currents within the physical body rests with Capricorn. The glyph ( ♑ ) represents the sacrum of the body. That is the "V" shape on the left. The curve of an eye on the right is where the nerve produces the current resides. The three figures are the currents Ida, Pingla with Sushumna in the center. The two witness of Adam and Eve are the two currents Ida and Pingla. The life of the blood cells is born in the bone marrow. Capricorn is called the bone mind. The wing between the lion (blood circulation) and the throne is labeled with the Hebrew letter ( ד ) Daleth. This is the Fourteenth Path and is called the illuminating intelligence. This is called this because it is that Brilliant One which is the founder of the concealed and fundamental ideas of holiness and of their stages of preparation. This letter is Venus. This is why the painting has green border and a dress in green color. This is the control point of respiration to assist in regeneration. The bird signifies correct breath. This is the doorway to creation. The wing connecting the ox (liver, and spleen) to the abyss is labeled the Hebrew letter ( ם ) mem. This is the element water. The state of the figure in the painting is the state of Samadhi ( समाधी ).It is the union of the perfect soul with the infinite spirit. This is the tarot representation of the crucifixion. This is the reason for the light to appear. This path is called the Stable of Intelligence and it is called this because it is the virtue of consistency among all numerations. The liver and spleen are able to supply the livestock to the organs of the abyss when needed. By use of this letter a mediation can be used to control this point of transfer. All writing systems and all alphabets include these controlling points. By understanding how the sounds, colors, and images affect the world we begin to respect the modes of communication. Words can have consequences to our actions. That means the structures in our physical body and bodies of finer substances are affected. Words and thoughts have power. Likewise we must learn to control the chariot. If not the animals will take us where we do not desire to go.
The story of Eros and Psyche is the required integration of the Spirit with the Soul. When the terms body, soul, and spirit are flung around by writers. The word spirit is misunderstood. The relationship is poorly understood. How do these two interact with the vehicle of the body? The answer is that the soul is the vehicle of the spirit. Without the use of myth our knowledge of the spirit world be overshadowed by the fantasies conjured up by our glimpses and blindness. If the sense world operates external to how our mind works we would be at a loss for the mechanism that produced knowledge about a pair of lovers. Behind every myth is allegory for forces that operate in two domains. One domain is that of nature. We can relate a myth to physical measurements and observations. A description of a boy losing control of a chariot, which pulls the sun along its path, results in wild deviation of the chariot's normal course. If the chariot pulls away from this earth the result would be an increase in cold. This produces the polar ice caps. If the chariot horses move too close the land below becomes a desert. Despite this incorrect interpretation it is still taught in schools. The other domain is that which cannot be observed. That is the world of the supernatural. This is where we spend a great deal of our time for this is where our thinking occurs. Another misinterpretation involves the image of the Centaur. This chimera explains the source of our two natures. One focused on earthly matters, and one of heaven. If heaven and our thinking are removed then a different discussion can be introduced. The figure of a horse and a man joined was produced when Greeks first saw Scythians ride horses. There of course produces a rational approach without evidence. This is also why occult symbols appear intriguing, yet offer no way to fit into an incorrect model. The imperfections are largely ignored until one is compelled to take the challenge and obtain the correct description. The painting above shows more clarity than any story may hope to clarify. The diagram from left to right describe the different entities that compose us. The seven figures surrounding the soul and spirit are the contributors to the different aspects of our mind. The stories of the Greek tradition only become relevant when they describe our journey. The path work involved in bringing the love ones into balance requires familiarity with the history of the hieroglyph for the seventh letter of the Hebrew alphabet called Zain. The picture form is quite different from the written letter forms introduced. Actually the picture was used to describe the zodiacal position of the scorpion. This may form confusion. However, there actually are two figures inverted from each other. That means the loins and head of each figure are in different positions. Imagine a (1) and a inverted ( ⇂ ). Now together they would of course be written as (1 ⇂ ). The energy to work along the path of Zain requires a source from the loins. When path working , using your powers of imagination in the initial stages will not be sufficient if you neglect the field energy held by Scorpio. This means you should also consider if the constellation is ascending, that means is the constellation rising above the horizon. The other option is that the constellation will be descending. That is setting with respect to the horizon. The type of energy offered to achieve your objective must be considered. This is why path working for beginners runs into trouble. Below is a tree diagram for the Zain pathway. On the tree of life the path of Zain connects Binah ( בינה ) with Tiphereth, Tiferet ( תִּפְאֶרֶת ). This is number 3 of the supernal triangle with the middle triangle. The triangle above the abyss is the spirit center. The triangle below the abyss is the soul center. Numerically this is sephira number 3 connected to sephira number 6. In English the sephira names are Understanding and Beauty respectfully. The path of (ז) zain [ also spelled zayin ] is a complicated one. This is because of the many interesting 32 paths on the tree of life this one crosses the veil and connects the supernal logos with the lower seven sephiroth. This veil is the one Parzival successfully makes breaks through. Specifically pure consciousness can mix with personality. The pathway enables Binah and Tiphareth to connect. This in the minor arcana involves the pip numbering 3 and 6. The type of intelligence is Disposing. Perfect breath is essential to access this path as the Holy spirit must provide the clothing for the righteous. You must be aware of the importance of this mental state. It is powerful and as a reminder it is said to provide the foundation of excellence for higher matters. Why this imposing language? The logos pours out a divine energy from Binah. This has a polarity. The two aspects of divine energy can oppose each other. A requirement is that these energies must be harmonized by the lover. To be on bad terms with either one is not in the cards. The temple building requires a very strong foundation. These opposing forces are represented by the figures on either side of the central figures. The lover key 6 shows a drawing of the three pillars of the tree. The location of the arms are ignored when studying this image. They hold the clue as to the actual meaning and solution of the path. The astrological reference is that of two brothers. The zodiac air sign of Gemini. The ruling planet of this sign represents spirit for that planet is c alled mercury. The union of these forces maybe a match in heaven. Nevertheless the task on the earth to facilitate the match is not easy. A process is necessary. The sun of pure consciousness and the moon of soul must meet. The Eros in the tarot image is the divine fire coming from the supernal triangle of heaven. This fire must cross the abyss before reaching the solar plexus. The central figure cannot balance the forces as easily. It should be pointed out that the hands of the woman are drawn differently. The scene is that of asymmetry. The astral side has a grip upon the figure. These forces must themselves be stabilized. Anyone experienced drastic changes in emotion has experienced how these forces can play in our lives. Contrary to misconception. The image is not used to convey the coming together of an alliance between two people. The unification of spirit and soul of one individual is conveyed by this key. The consideration of two people interaction requires the consideration of all the forces for each of the trees. Each person will have their own collection. This is because the interaction of the forces will shape the evolution of the personality. A consequence of this activity is that people can and do change. The evolutionary path of a person must be studied. They are not static. Tarot directions with respect to the body means the right section of the image is the left side of the body. The left section of the image is the right side of the body. The pillars of the tree of life correspond to viewing the person from the back of the head with the spinal chord facing them. Therefore the left pillar is on the left side and the right pillar is on the right side. The central pillar is parallel with the spinal chord. The tarot key 6 above is equivalent with the other images. Beginners are puzzled and question is one Tarot better than another. If you examine the image above you will notice that the torch burns on the left. The shield is on the right. The left is the entrance to the astral light. This is the reason for the flame. The shield can protect from the flame. This light of course is metaphor. The astral is a force.
The performer is often trying to establish the cross road of art, success, and craft. Although a science of how we make decisions has been know for many years it has not been utilized by many. A comedy of this process was incorporated into a novel by Honré de Balzac. The title of course is The Quest For The Absolute. This text makes for an interesting play. The word, in the title, absolute is the outcome when three variables are defined. These are will, thought, and feeling. We are confronted by a fourth dimensional equation. This equation involves three independent variables indicated by our will, out thought, and our emotion. These three quantities provide the four variable which is dependent upon the other three. A coordinate system of a person can be constructed to show where the planes of will, thought and feeling originate. Just as for the performer a similar set of three planes exist. The actions involved on the stage result in generating a set of variables in the three planes of the audience. The performer wants to know what actions will give the desired outcome. In this case the absolute value. The response of the audience is gauged the same way in neuroscience. We must work with the senses. The human response is needed as no quantitative measurement of desire, emotion, and intellect is possible. Unless we use Art as the interpreter. The hermetic literature of the emerald tablet and Kybalion describes a three plane system. This is described in terms of where your thoughts are derived. Such planes include a spiritual plane, a mental plane, and a physical plane. By this structure their are different levels of thoughts. These thoughts can evolve in different directions. They may evolve on all three plane to eventually take form as your idea. A thought may not ever reach the stage of being unveiled to your friends and family. The planes where thoughts are born and grow is congested. An incomplete thought can lead to an obsession. Therefore it is important to be diligent with your mind. In Art the goal to communicate on all three planes is an important one. This is referred to as reaching your audience. Just how this is done can be understood and applied by studying how thinking changes on these planes. It is an incorrect notion that the registering of a sensation puts a thought onto these planes. The construction of a world is brought about upon these planes. The mind makes interpretations and constructs a model. The model is changed as new changes in sensations are identified. A new sensation must be identified. The continual stimulation of the same sensation does not lead to a change. The mind only relies on change when building the model.
How theater can be effective is in the planing of a sequence of sensations to be sent out to the audience. This can lead to the build up of activity on these mental planes. By observing the sequences a buildup will result in a value. This is a response from the audience to the art presented by the actors. It is on the stage where a four dimensional answer will be sought. This response is what is termed the absolute from Balzac's novel. The thinking plane of Taurus and the feeling plane of Leo involve different rotations about the fixed cross. This cross interacts with the soul. The function of this cross is concerned with the integration of the personality with the soul. Following the mutable cross the fixed cross is concerned with the experiences of the soul. The five worlds of human attainment are regulated at this point. These include three human and two superhuman states. Because thinking and feeling operate on two different planes there is always a moment of silence as we shift from one plane to another. If mental activities are confined to one plane, but if a shift in consciousness is demanded we suddenly feel as through we have to grope around as we get our bearings in a new world. This also means how we take in a play will be affected the same way. A scene with heavy emotion cannot segue into a different scene heavy in intellectual development. The energy from the received emotion has to be discharged through music, or release of tension by the acting on stage. Knowledge of the land is far more useful than the map. Those that are comfortable in one plane over the other spend a good deal of their experiences in that plane. There is almost a feeling of regret in having to leave that plane to shift into another. Any opportunity to shift back is welcomed and looked forward to with a sense of fullness and happiness. These planes are not static. As we become exposed to different types of music, sounds, colors, and dialogue our mind becomes dynamic. Through theater we are able to initiate the cyclic evolutionary process of the root. This root of course is the nerves that extend into our pelvic bone, hip bone. stomach, prostrate, throat, and cardiac. The root by growing and evolving can assist the conscious that occupies the thin layer of the cerebral cortex. This aid comes about through the growth and health of the trees in garden of Eden. The nervous system responds to spiritual growth as well. The cerebrum gets much attention. In the Rig Veda the deities of Brahma, Indra, and Shiva overshadow others in the pantheon. This is because they are closer to the cerebrum. The other deities, nymphs, and nature spirits are not thoroughly identified. It is the deity of Vishnu that is unique. The multiple transformations of Vishnu are reported as 24. There is of course others that are possible. The parts of thought worked upon at the fixed cross involve the development of consciousness. The ability to refine thought forms. The need to intensify life experiences. At the fixed cross desire is transmuted into aspiration. The egotistical nature in the Aquarius-Leo staff learns to become decentralized and works with group-conscious states. Along the Taurus - Scorpio staff the material life is replaced by the spiritual. The purification of the water constellation aids the material earth of Taurus. To understand how the planes involving feeling and thinking are affected by the will it is important to realize that the forces generated by the zodiac constellations undergo a series of cycles. Taurus is the Mother of illumination. Change of outcome is carried out by the line of evolution. The construction of this line involves seven ascending constellations. These constellations are the following: [Aries, Fire], [Taurus, Earth], [Gemini, Air], [Cancer, Water], [Leo, Fire], [Virgo, Earth], and [Libra, Air]. The ascending constellations are associated with five descending constellations. These five constellations are [Scorpio, Water], [Sagittarius, Fire], [Capricorn, Earth], [Aquarius, Water], and [Pisces, Water]. These are about as useful as a title which can be recognize, but lacks any meaning. They are in fact part of a sophisticated address system for the mind. A series of impulses are passed along into different regions of the mental powers. This means our mind is not static hence the personality also will change. Every zodiac constellation has an impulse that operates in a cyclical fashion. This cycle is one type of evolution. There are other cycles. Zodiac Impulses 1 Aries -- Unconscious will. At this point the soul passes from death to rebirth. Tarot key 4. Title Emperor. Fire. 2 Taurus -- Conformation. Here the mental and physical natures are formed by the soul. Tarot key 5. Title Hierophant. Earth. 3 Gemini -- Conscious will. Here the soul experiences an increase in consciousness. Tarot key 6. Title Lover. Air. 4 Cancer -- Self consciousness. This is the rise in the quality of the individual. Tarot key 7. Title Chariot. Water. 5 Leo -- Sensory perceptions. Tarot key 8. Title Strength. Fire. 6 Virgo -- Marriage --- Focus the sense perceptions upon exterior objects. Tarot key 9. Title Hermit. Earth. 7 Libra -- The illusions of pain and pleasure and their synthesis reacting upon the soul. Tarot key 11. Title Justice. Air. 8 Scorpio -- Desire ---This provides the gratification of needs derived from the experience released upon the soul by the gate of Libra. Tarot key 13. Title Death. Water. 9 Sagittarius -- Indulgence. The attachment to worldly goods. Tarot key 14. Title Temperance. Fire. 10 Capricorn -- Maturity --- This provides a satisfaction to the material existence. This represents a high Philosophical level of understanding. Tarot key 15. Title Devil. Earth. 11 Aquarius -- Compensation --- The paying of the karmic debts and the eventual detachment from this time frame. Tarot key 16. Title Star. Air. 12 Pisces -- Completion --- The ending of connection to matter and the return of the spirit. This constellation is in the celestial sea. No land is present. Here the evolution has completed one cycle. Tarot key 18. Title Moon. Water. Any play must include this cycle. The audience enters the story at their own individual entry point depending on their own frequency of revolution. The underlying structure of a play shares the same skeleton of the major arcana of the tarot deck. The images of the pictures included the 12 zodiac constellations. The real implication of the major arcana is that when all the images are viewed a story of how spirit makes it descent from mind into matter, and ultimately returns. The combination of the keys The World 21 with the Fool 0 signify the complete and closed circuit. A play must also include this closed path in order for the play to be successful. The use of open circuit stores fit the current broken mind where ego dominates. It is after all the role of art to assist the higher mind in connecting with the lower mind. The use of edge with color is a new visual language the rudiments have yet to be work out. Use in various art forms provides stimulation to the viewer. The way to learn how we response is to learn the language of how our mind moves in and transfers to different planes by the use of triggers within the art. Goethe pointed out in his play about Faust that symbols arise originally from dreams. The transitory nature of the angelic world is the source of symbols. when confronted with a symbol we spend time trying to understand its meaning. The use of logic and analysis led to false avenues. To learn of symbols we must enter the world of Briah. This is known as the world of creation. Nothing has permanence. Any concept that maybe recognized as having a form will dissolve. The introduction of random behavior into an art will provide a way to enter this world. The literary cut up method, by Biron Gysin in the decade of the 1950s. This can be used by any art. The introduction of notes into a piece of music can lead to new compositions. The more random notes introduced the more alive and interesting the music becomes. A similar method can be used in film and the production of paper collages. We experience events in the cut up fashion. Our ideas appear to us in a nonlinear fashion. Those ordered events utilized in explaining a logical narrative do not occur to us in that manner.
The use of props on stage is key to the beginning ascent into matter by the mind. This is indicated in the painting above. The tools of a magician are in fact the tools used by the mind but drawn in a metaphorical language. The cups colored in blue and red are used in emotion and divine inspiration. The knives are our intellect. The coins are our materialization, and ways to organize our ideas. The wand is our will.
Within us lies the necessary components to manifest increasingly higher forms of expression and intellect. Like any muscle this gift must be employed to receive the benefits. As a result of the requirement to shift planes we fall into a cycle of habits. The only way out the cycle requires a shock of self expression. By developing within we realize there is no need to be lead blindly. New developments become possible when we try a what if rather than follow what is believed to be written down. In human knowledge what is written down is what was tried in the beginning. Knowledge is always changing. A repeated cycle only leads to new applications of will. Only through the use of earth can a process be realized. From earth water and air can be derived to explain the new observations made from the newly discovered process. It is known through fencing that repeated operations lead to hypnotic sleep states. The playing of repeated music phrasing has this same result. The introduction of new sensation gives stimulus for the growth of new endeavors. It will be on stage that the fire and motivation to innovate human development will occur.
Movement along the arcs labelled B to F, F to G, G to H, H to D, and D to A spell out the evolutionary path from stone to plant to animal to human to adept. The inclusion of spirit in matter is the process known as involution. The life world is transferred into dense substances of the material world. By involution the living forces are clothed in matter and take on the properties of form. The involution is the reverse of evolution. The adept is transferred into human, lower forms can be animal types, plants, and finally the inhabitants of the inorganic world.
to Structure viewed too quickly becomes the archetype for a symbol. A image we barely recognize when observed in a dream can be used to establish the foundation. A symbol ultimately is a representative of underlying cosmic forces. They do not reveal themselves directly. They appear to us in celestial observation. The constellations and the symbols that arrive from stellar phenomena go into the construction of our written text system. The star patterns go into making our words. When beginning to learn a writing system a period of non verbal introduction is required as the mind constructs models. The formation of words comes later. This reflects on the origin of our writing systems. From pictures came glyphs, and these in turn construct words. We forget about this and fail to grasp why children need time to learn language. Once they arrive in the physical body the connections to the etheric and astral are not fully made. The stars need more time to construct their higher functions into the nerves. The application of picture and production of music by the students should come before the emphasis on written language. Showing by theater how words form will aid in the building of the necessary complexes.
The highest level of mental cognition is non-verbal. Our first analysis always begins without the application of mapping words to objects. Once recognition and understanding are achieved we begin to formulate words to the models we create from the information we abstract from our senses. This is why the region marked "event" is placed above the domain of inference. Better and better conclusions can be obtained if our mind is allowed to work with our senses.
Notice an example can be demonstrated in a play called Taming of the Shrew by Shakespeare. This excerpt is taken from Act4, Scene 5. The actors are making a simulated journey from Verona to Padua. The travel time is estimated to take 17 hours on foot. The time is noon and the sky is clear with no clouds in sight. The intense heat makes the travelers uncomfortable, and sweaty. They are hungry and have no food themselves. They expect to eat in Padua. Any thoughts of further delays or threats to return to their starting point will make them upset. They are edgy. The character name PETRUCHIO decides to make trouble by making a new interruption in the party's journey, this will further delay their arrival time. The lack of food, and presence of hungry makes them cross. PETRUCHIO Come on, i' God’s name, once more toward our father’s. Good Lord, how bright and goodly shines the moon! KATHERINE The moon? The sun! It is not moonlight now. PETRUCHIO I say it is the moon that shines so bright. KATHERINE I know it is the sun that shines so bright. PETRUCHIO Now, by my mother’s son, and that’s myself, It shall be moon, or star, or what I list, Or e'er I journey to your father’s house. [To servants] Go on, and fetch our horses back again.-- KATHERINE Forward, I pray, since we have come so far, And be it moon, or sun, or what you please. PETRUCHIO I say it is the moon. KATHERINE I know it is the moon. PETRUCHIO Nay, then you lie. It is the blessèd sun. The wording can be misunderstood as to the meaning of sun and moon. This couple plays the role of when the Sun of Tiphereth marries the bride of Malkuth. In English this is when the solar deity marries the physical kingdom. The concepts of the Rosencrantz alchemical wedding are described in this play. The German text was published in 1616 AD. The play is estimated to be written between 1590 to 1597 AD.
Splendor Solis is the text upon where this image is derived. A work estimated to be published in 1582 AD. This couple in the above figure answers the question as what the two characters names Katherine and Petruchio refer to. The Moon is under the feet of the queen. The Sun is under the feet of the king. The Alchemical objective is to form a union between this Sun and Moon. This indeed is implied in the Lover key number 6.
This division can manifest in physical observation. The work by Julian Jaynes in 1976 points to what the alchemist were attempting. If the solar and lunar centers do not unite you have a consciousness cut off from the higher mind. The evidence of this is exhibited in the Greek text of Ulysses. If the lower mind becomes split the ego represented by Ulysses has no access to divine thinking from the higher self. Interesting concepts are introduced in The Origin of Consciousness in the Breakdown of the Bicameral Mind. [By Julian Jaynes, Houghton Mifflin 1976] Yet further explorations are waiting and still wait for further authors. Because all is from mind. There are implications. This breakdown will appear in the surroundings if the ego is forced to function alone without all the parts of the mind.
The spinal chord grows as we evolve. There are physical changes as well as mental changes. This of course means that their will be changes that occur in personality. The second transformation of Vishnu involves a Turtle. This animal travels to the bottom of the ocean. At this position the spinal chord is supported on the ocean floor.
By allowing a mediation of study you will be able to observe the turtle in the diagram of the pelvic bone above. Inside the butterfly shape bone sits a the shell of the turtle. The 4 by 4 holes are empty. The nerves of the spinal chord are threaded through these holes. The sacred fire that occultist speak of can be accessed through here. This place of intense heat is the Tartarus of the Greek myth. The reproductive organs reside here.
In play form the spinal chord is represented by the figures above. One source of this information is the Rig Veda. When a child transforms into an adult the spinal chord must make a large physical change. This is shown by the fifth transformation of Vishnu. Here Vishnu is the dwarf boy called Vamana. It is here that we learn about how we make a spurt in our youth, 12-16 years of age. By requesting land from the demon king called Manabali. He is ruler of the child state. The agreement is based on how much land he can cross by taking three strides. As Vamana began to take those strides he began to grow in stature into a giant called Trivikrama. The three strides became heaven earth, earth, and neither world. The three regions that the spinal chord spans. Part of the head called heaven. Earth, the torso. Neither world, the loins.
The three kingdoms of Vishnu. These three structures reveal the different geography encountered by the spinal chord. The colorful design demonstrates another way to represent our being. Note the colorful halos.
The wedding between Sun and Moon involves two paths. These are mapped to the tarot keys Universe, 21 and Temperance 14. The path of Tau is called number 32. The path of Samekh is number 25. This is the way of alchemy and aspiration. This is known as the daughter of the reconcilers and the bringer forth of life. The twenty-fifth path is the intelligence of probation. It is so called because this is the path pf primary temptation by which the creator trieth all rightous persons. When compared with the thirty-second path the 25 appears slightly easier. This introduces us to the bride. We must be careful as the astral world tends to deceive. Number 32 is called the Administrative intelligence. This derives its name because it is where the seven planets receive their instructions. Their course of movement through the heavens occurs on this path. The Magician develops their greatest powers by walking these two paths
The entrance into the soul from the outside world is through poetry. The inclusion of meter was once considered an important essential part of poetry writing. The long absence of meter reflects on the present condition of the soul. One such writer warned of the dangers in losing meter. An essay describes the sudden loss occurring all around at the time. Dionysius of Halicanasus warned of this loss. If music be the food of love, then by all means please my dear friends play your instruments. There is an absence of using Hickory Dickory Dock the eagle produced a rainbow of colored flowers in our writings. What does that tell us of our soul? In the situation of painting the astral body presses upon the etheric body. Thus Cain and Abel unique form of cooperation has two effects. The ego, life conditions, and experiences are subordinate. The psychic moon is allowed to express itself directly with the astral body. The Ego is connected to music. The spirit self is connected to poetry. In music different worlds can be accessed through pitch. The tonic and physical body are related. Major second the etheric body. Major third the astral body, Major fourth intellectual soul, Major fifth is connected with the conscious soul. A way to different worlds through art is proposed by Rudolf Steiner. He described the Physical body to be connected to architecture. Etheric body is connected to Sculpture. The Astral body is connected to Painting. Reference: Art as seen in the light of mystery wisdom. Our writer has a strong interest in fiction and science. A fine example of his work is called. The Case of Dexter Ward. The beginning of the piece has a curious passage attributed to a Borellus. The topic of the passage appears to be that of suspended animation. The author of the work is quite gifted as this Borellus reference is the work of Howard Philips Lovecraft. In the year 1676 a Pierre Borel published a tome of physical phenomenon reported over four hundred years. Despite the events, little in terms of any sense could be ascribed. Yet they were repeatable in the sense that during the seasons someone would experience them. The title of the work is Four Centuries of Medico-physical Observations . (The Latin spelling of Borel is Borellus) One of the topics involves the observations of the formation of plants in ice. Example 1. There is talk of a magician, who is said to have produced wonderful figures of flowers in the ice of the town-moat. This, said Borel, is not magic. He described it in terms employed by alchemists. Salt is the fat of the earth; when washed from it, the earth is barren till more is drawn from the air by magnetic force. For this reason the Apostles were said to be salt of the Earth. the salt takes forms when it becomes solid, because of the soul that is in it. The strong impregnation of salt in the town-moat caused the forms to appear in the ice: and they were plant forms because the mixture with salts of innumerable plants. For the figure of a plant lies hidden in its salt, as is seen in the ashes of brunt plants when frozen, as Quercetanus relates of nettles. Joseph Duchesne, or in latin Quercetanus, performed work on the burning of Nettles. . . . and had drawn the salt from the ashes of some burnt nettles, and exposed the lye to the dew in winter, be found it frozen in the morning, but with this wonderful circumstance, the species of the nettles, their form and figure were so naturally and perfectly delineated upon the ice, that they formed to be true nettles. His conclusion This is a secret, which shows, that though the bodies die, yet their forms still continue in their ashes. Example 2 In another place he says that the resurrection of plants was shown in Paris, in jars half full of water, at the price of five pieces to each spectator. Others, he says, of further, and really produce in a certain fluid, from the separated principles of the plant, another like plant, in a short time, without earth. To which Stephen Bressidus, an acute chemist. was. he says. eye-witness. Bressidus proved also the exhalation of the immortal souls of plants with their refined salts into the air, by observing that when he collected a quantity of dew. which froze and broke the bottle. he beheld in it a tree with roots and branches, leaves and fruit. Example 3 Beguin said again that he had grown plants from their salts, placed instead of their seeds into the earth; and had raised from the dung of animals, plants similar to those which they had eaten. Another chemist, M. Barlet. was delighted to find the image of a sweet-scented herb in the frozen contents of a night-pan. There is of course something deeper going on is these formations of leaves and flowers in ice. In terms of any satisfactory theory there is none. A completely different subject has evolved using these observations to support the ability of succeeding generations to generate the characteristics of the ancestor. This in fact is called Palingenesis. A poem that demonstrates this concept is believed to have been written in 1646 This plant thus calcined into dust, In its ashes rest it must, Until sweet Psyche shall inspire, A softening and prolific fire, And in her fostering arms enfold This heavy and this earthy mould. Then as I am I'll be no more. But bloom and blossom as before, When this cold numbness shall retreat By a more than chymic heat. The work has no author. One source is from the book: The King and the commons: Cavalier and Puritans, edited by Henry Morley, 1869, Scribner and sons. The atmosphere provided in the editor's introduction implies a monument. However, this is a literary device as no address of the place is indicated. The search for the mind sense interface in the past three hundred years has produce a large amount of literature. Some has been forgotten only to be resuscitated. A mental process proscribed by alchemists has been an indirect source to explain ice forming flowers and leaves. Although a specific flower might be hard to identify without knowing the energy source that has not prevented speculation to use this concept in completely different areas. This of course must still be verified. Without a confirmation the concept remains speculation. Paracelsus writes about how to work with astral light by the mind. He does not speculate or proposed experiments. If a thing loses its material substance, the invisible form still remains in the light of nature (the astral light); if we can re-clothe that form with visible matter, we may make that form visible again. All matter is composed of three elements--Sulphur , mercury, and salt. By Alchemical Means we may create a magnetic attraction in the astral form, so that may attract it possessed before its mortification, and incorporate them and become visible again. I stressed the words above for the reader's benefit. The methods of alchemy do not involve physical laboratory manipulations observed in a chemical laboratory. These are completely distinct. The laboratory of the alchemist is the physical body and the mind. In other words the trinity of body, soul, and spirit. Source Life of Paracelsus by Franz Hartmann Paracelsus text: De Resuscitationibus In the theory of crystallization the formation of a nucleus of an ice crystal on a surface requires an imperfection, a scratch, a dust particle. The reason why leaves and flower patterns form is not explained. if the crystal in question to form a specific pattern was hydroxyapatite ( Ca5(PO4)3(OH) )[the numbers should be subscripts] an important question arises. How does the same mineral form teeth and bones? Every bone and tooth has a different surface. The details of how these materials form is not understood completely. It is believed that proteins form a template to guide how the crystals should form. This work has many questions yet to be answered. William Reich investigated how dead matter gave organic structural forms. A link to his experiments and photographs of these structures can be obtained here at this link. He considered that the non living as the basis of the living. He prepared water infusions of dead moss and grass. By microscope observations he would wait until 1 micron oval vesicles wee released into the solution. He termed them Bions. As time progressed the bions would congregate and form little neighborhoods. These structures would join together and form new membrane structures. New microorganisms emerged from this process, indistinguishable from similar microorganisms observed in soils and ponds. A publication in 2002 describes work to produce these Bions. Confer James DeMeo 2002 Bion Biogenesis. Reich noted that a cyclic process is involved. This cycle must be observed in one revolution. Bionous disintegration and re-organization is not at the molecular level. The spontaneous assembly of proteins and DNA are still in an infant state of research. A review on these structures is available here at this link. Natural Supramolecular Protein Assemblies. Bas J. G. E. Pieters Chemistry Society Reviews October 26, 2015. To observe a cyclic assembly and disassembly of a molecular system of a polymer, protein, RNA, or DNA has not been observed frequently. Spontaneous assembly of polymer is known. Out of respect for Mr Lovecraft's interest in science we will mention an amino acid compound that clusters together to form spherical structures but can alter this shape and form tubes. The paper can be found here at this link. Above can be seen spherical structures. After 42 hours the structures are no longer this shape. They appear fibrous. This is like the resemblance of nerve cells. These images are obtained by Transmission electron microscopy. The electron itself clusters together and is our wave of light. The cluster of molecules of this amino acid are the Venetian Blinds that serve as a diffraction grating. As a result we obtain images of light and dark objects. Our Amino Acid compound is labeled as Fmoc-DOPA. The structural formula of Fmoc-DOPA can be observed in the drawing above. Nothing from this drawing indicates its shape and how a cluster of these would form a spherical topology. The sphere is what William Reich observed emanating from the dead grass, and moss water preparations. A visual representation shows change in cluster occurs. On the far left the turbid solution is prepared by making a stock reservoir solution of 100 mg/ml of Fmoc-DOPA in Ethanol (Ethyl Alcohol). A sample is taken and diluted with distilled water to make a concentration of 1 mg/ml. The result of these manipulations is the turbid white appearing liquid containing solid particles. The middle photograph, we are informed, is at 2 weeks time. A solid phase appears at the top of the glass vial. Colorless, clear liquid appears below. A visual transformation is occurring. The semi solid is a gel. The water and ethanol form a matrix for the Fmoc-DOPA to develop inside. The word matrix implies a womb. In 2 months after the experiment was begun we can observe interesting transformations. The oblong shaped objects inside the gel are crystals. It is interesting how many of the terms in scientific research come from alchemy and the Higher Sciences. There are now currently 22 amino acids detected in the chemistry of living tissues. Two are interesting in themselves as they demonstrate our ignorance. These two are called Selenocysteine and Pyrrolysine. A research paper based on detecting these amino acids in protein sequences can be found here at this link. Ideas about how these two amino acids form structures is proposed in a paper available here at this link. The astral light is often referred to by its stellar nature. That of course means not thinking of stars in the heavens only. The astral light plays an important role in the nervous system.
The photograph above is an example of Zodiacal light. The zodiacal light is a physical phenomenon. It too would have an astral counterpart. To say that the zodiacal light serves as the astral companion of the dawn would not be correct. This feature tends to be strongest in a western sky than in an eastern sky. A collection of dust and ice particles surrounding the sun reflect sunlight along the elliptic . The appearance is described as ghostly. In the land of explicit meaning the need to learn about Totems is far greater than ever. The presence of a Mother Pelican feeding young with her own blood has produced quite a few scratching heads. Attempts at explaining the symbol has not been successful. The origin of this totem and its real meaning requires knowledge of forces. Ptah is the father of the sun. His consort is Neith. The goddess Neith is the mother of the moon. Ptah is the primordial fire. Neith the primordial space. Ptah and Neith are necessary for creation of thoughts to occur. This is the hammer and anvil pair. Without Neith, Ptah has nothing to act upon. This should sound familiar. The hieroglyphs to represent this god-goddess pair are ( Yod י ) and (Hei ה ). Mathematically these same sacred symbols are 1 and 2. These numbers are no less sacred and should not be degraded. Numbers are in fact used in the sacred names. The use of numbers are used by the mind in art, architecture, and are observed in nature and the universe. The occult laws demonstrate the roll numbers have in the design of the universe. Together both Ptah and Neith are required to turn the darkness into light by the creation of the sun. This is a meaning when consciousness first appears. Instead of using an abstract symbol for a formula, images in paint and sculpture were devised. Neith is represented by the goddess Pasht. Other names are Bubastis. The corresponding name in Greek is Diana. Images of Pasht are shown holding the emblems of life. As a representative of Neith, Pasht is also the Great Mother. Her association with the Moon gives the head of a cat. Source Christ and Other Masters, Volume II Charles Hardwick Macmillian, 1863 An Egyptian goddess described as Pasht is given the title "The Mother of the gods." Her vehicle is the vulture. This bird is the symbol of Maternity. Images of Pasht reveal her holding a sword and spitting fire. Her animal head is feline. A cat or lion is depicted. Source: Egyptian Sepulchres and Syrian Shrines volume 1. by Emily A. Beaufort. Publisher Longman, Green, Robberts, 1862 The meaning of this image. Level one, it is the baby Horus born after the mental and bodily systems. This mother is the virgin birth. In Egypt this was the virgin Neith goddess. level 2, the alchemist use this type of heating chamber to produce white copper from green copper. The difference between green copper and white copper is in who you serve? The formation of a white copper signifies the higher divine power. level 3, all cultures know that we have seven life forces that compose seven souls. Six out of the seven souls are elemental that contribute to the whole. The seventh of image of the creator was the human soul. Such a soul was made of blood. This implied two different mothers. One for the elemental souls and one for the human soul. The blood mother is envisioned as the virgin goddess Neith. The seven portions although familiar to students of the planets find the concept of seven souls difficult to grasp. This is a product of sleep. When the soul begins to awaken from a drunken stupor much of want happened in the creation is forgotten. The journey into the physical body involved passing through these seven. The reason text passage that are concerned with awakening one of these seven is that the readers insist that they are reading about the physical body. The drawings of the Tree of Life and the Tarot images specify which of these bodies are being addressed. They are tools to help clarify the meanings. The Egyptian system involved two types. These are the gods and the glorified. The role of the gods is to represent the various superpowers observed in nature and in astrology. These terms are the natural phenomena and supernatural phenomena. The climate, weather, and births. The germination of seeds. The time of planting can produce flowers, but no fruit. The glorified are quite different. They are the evolved souls. To understand natural phenomena is the beginning to understand the language used in Egyptian texts. One type of powers are not related to human directly but can affect humans. The supernature powers of elements. These are represented by the Suten and Nakht pair of god and goddess. An example of this would be the pair used to describe the functioning of the nervous system. The power of Shu in causing muscles to contract is represented by a head of a lion. The lion is the symbol of the Paranic energy. The life force ( प्राण, prāṇa ) in sanskrit. He manifests as the electrical discharge observed in nerves. The consort of Shu is Tefnut. Her domain is moisture. Tefnut controls the activity of the spinal fluid in the nerves. This deity has a feline head. The language of the various animal heads on the human figures denoted what aspects of nature where under their control. The physical body has many fluids and forces involved in its animation. Therefore the gods have many different animal heads. The importance of music in the growth of the nervous system is shown by including the pair of Shu and Tefnut on a decoration for a musical instrument.
