Few realize just how valuable a gift the Tarot is. Despite the incorrect use of this machine the Tarot is continually being reprinted and currently being devised for future images. A series based on whims have been introduced little realizing what the actual purpose of the paintings are intended. The great value demonstrates exactly why the Tarot has not been replaced by the current toys our generation has introduced. The Game of the Mind is one that has yet to be played. We toy with a wonderful aid that can only help us. The spell of materialism prevents understanding by merely looking at the drawings. This is because the mind has the ability to create. Almost anything can be made up if the heart-mind desires. The cerebrum will merely comply with the wishes. For the moment perhaps a different approach is necessary. Instead of looking try reading a few sentences. In order to use the Tarot you must know what parts of the body the cards refer to. Examination of the pictures of the suits in the minor arcana reveal a close relationship with your brain. King = Wisdom = Chokmah, Queen = Understanding = Binah. This is where imagination can be found, Knight = Beauty = Tiphereth. This is the solar plexus, The center of the body. The source of the soul, Princesses (Page) = Body. THIS IS THE KINGDOM, the kingdom is called Malkuth. In playing cards this particular card is absent. The one holding the card is the body and represents the Princesses or Page. This is the call of the reader. There is a reason to continue the use of the hebrew words for each of the ten fruits on the Trees. The reason shall be revealed later. The presidence of the elements is the reason why society has their symbolism displayed all around us. This is the first thing we must identify with when we awaken. The world of the suits tell us how to build. there are four trumps in a deck of cards. These are so because they relate to the four worlds of creation. Their names are Atziluth, Briah, Yetsirah, Assiah. Since their are ten cards in a suit. Then we might suppose each card of a suit corresponds to a Sephira on a Tree of Life. The numbering of 1 through 10 always includes the crown Kether as 1 and Malkuth, the kingdom as 10. For those who slumber then allow them to sleep. Only when you awaken will you realize that the figure in the painting of Temperance has one foot in water and one foot on land! A student of the occult will carefully read the writing upon the dress.
The world of Atziluth has fire. This can be envisioned as a wand, and a club. Such a life is a world of archetypes. Good luck in understanding this. Briah is where the Goddess reins. This is water and can be seen on a pip of hearts or a cup of tea. Creation occurs here. Yetsirah is the domain of Air. The hardest of the material mind to fathom. Some see swords as destructive. Some see Spades used to open the earth. This is the formative world. Not the world of despair. Assiah a very often misunderstood place. It is called Earth and has been represented as a shield, a coin, or a circle with a five pointed emblem. A deck of cards calls them diamonds. This is the symbol of the pyramid when a cross is drawn upon the diamond pip. It is called the material world. A sun in the center admired by the zodiac can seem to some as a circle! This Tree of Life is really Your body. Your brain and spinal chord and the various nerves. Esoteric texts make periodic references to specific nerves. If you had a way to translate the words you would learn which nerves and organs the sentences referred to. It would begin to make sense to you. The Tarot is a truly wonderful gift if YOU could only learn how to use the keys.
