Ladies and Gentlemen...........Behold the nervous system. Little can be revealed by the hieroglyph of the astrological sign called Sagittarius. Some paintings reveal a figure with a bow priming an arrow. Other images are of a chimera of two images. One is that of horse, the other of a human. To be correct the figure is incomplete. The hermetic principle of gender requires a female and male couple to exist. The goal to access the meaning of this archer makes it the responsibility of Artists to create the required picture. Then we can learn the knowledge this sign wants to teach humanity. The information present in the texts of esoteric astrology falls on deaf ears since the paintings are not finished. The reason that this is essential for evolution of the mind is because the archer is one of the arms of the Mutable cross. The archetypes present in the four astrological signs impinge upon those who must mount the mutable cross in their trials on the earth. A deeper understanding will occur when the signs of this cross are revealed. The members of the mutable are Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, and Pisces. Each arm, head, and legs of this cross affects the various nerve clusters that contribute to our thoughts, emotions. The ruler of the body must tame these kingdoms. The astrological signs hold the secrets to achieve this. The metaphoric meaning of kings and rulership relate to conscious control cooperating with automatic control. This also involves outside stimulus that can affect us. The hermetic principle that all is mind really implies your current thought can deeper affect you in the future. Change your thoughts and you will see a change. Study the ageless wisdom and you will assume rulership of yourself. A birds eye x-ray view of some of the worlds you own. These drawing points out a more realistic view of the nervous system. Every star in the heavens maps to nerves in the body. This means a direct mapping. Consider what this means. The various types of stellar phenomena have a neuro-physiological relative. A nebula, a quasar, a red giant all involve a meaning to the mind. Our ability to understand the implications relates to our ability to learn and grasp this hidden knowledge. Once we remove the clouds we can see beyond with the aid of the spirits of light. This is so for without light how can we see our thoughts? This is one of the gifts of the light provided by the astral fire. This substance is referred to as the christ fire in esoteric literature. As a study aid it is helpful to make a drawing of a figure centered like so. The figure is arranged as a cross. Write down the astrological signs at the head, arms, and feet. Read literature on the archetypes for each of the signs and which organs this signs are responsible. Keep a journal of your experiences and assign them to one of the four points of the cross. By becoming aware of the effects you will achieve the awaken state. This leads to the ability to understand which sign and which organs are influencing your outcomes. Then use your conscious thoughts to achieve control. The stars are actually trying to teach. It is up to us to learn a way to communicate with them. This is the meaning of mounting the cross. The mysteries of each tradition aim to work with this wonderful creation. Instead of letting anger getting the better of you use your energy to become the ruler. By looking inward you will see a very rich world. There is a valuable lesson in the suggestion to build your riches in heaven. The tools are all around you. The way is to learn how to use them. A great way to do this is by working with Art. Come to understand how your nervous system responds to different aspects of Art, music, and design. These will carry you into the kingdom of heaven. The Egyptian mysteries reveal the hermetic importance of gender. The nervous system in occult terminology is described as being composed of two cosmic forces. They are vastly different from each other. One is of the element of water. The other is of the element of fire. When wet and dry meet they form the support system of the body. In Kemet these elementary mixtures are called the god deity Shu and the goddess deity Tefnut, some texts spell the name as Telfnut. Shu is dry and Tefnut is moist. When united they form the Archer. In Islamic sources and the Torah this archer is called Ishmael. He is an archer and a hunter. The role of shooting an arrow into the heavens can be understood when we discover that the archer is the messenger to the cerebrum. Observe these passages. And make mention in the Scripture of Ishmael. Lo! he was a keeper of his promise, and he was a messenger (of Allah) a Prophet. (19, 54) He enjoined upon his people worship and alms giving, and was acceptable in the sight of his Lord. (19, 55) And We raised him to high station. (19, 56) The meaning of high station is higher consciousness. The nervous system indeed reaches to the higher conscious. How else can we make the lower vehicle the physical body achieve our desires? Once you come to understand how the different parts of a painting come together and achieve their effect the secret of how the image above maps to the nervous system will be learned. The dual pair of Shu on the right and Tefnut on the left enter a dialog with the nervous system. That means each object placed there by the artist has a meaning. The literal image of two seated figures makes the tarot images seem at first glance to have no significance. If you meditate on these two images you will notice effects on yourself. The reason for this is that the objects relate to mathematical numbers. These numbers are derived from the words found in the texts such as the Book of the Dead.
We can obtain learn about the role of the nervous system from this passage. Book of the Dead xvii 16 Shu and Tefnut possess one soul between them. The two halves are identified with the soul of Osiris and the soul of Ra. Not all the deities in the Egyptian pantheon share one soul. This explains the uniqueness of the nervous system. Two forces interact in the nerve tissue. These inhabit both the spinal fluid, and the energy that travels along nerves. By realizing the two aspects of the archer provides a greater appreciation of the nervous system. It is not a foreign thing but a vital part of us. Thus we able to appreciate the value of learning how creation myths in different traditions teach about how the egg develops into the adult. During these changes the nervous system also grows and learns. Some additional facts lead us to understand the underlying metaphors of such texts: Shu and Tefnut lay the foundations of the house where the deceased dwells. When the soul enters the physical body we dwell in the land of the Dead for this is the underworld. Scholars like to point out the Egyptian texts were concerned with the afterlife. This is a misunderstanding. The writings are for us when we dwell in the earth and aspire to reach the heavens. The earth is the body where Atlas stands in the neck bones. The various nerves from the Shoulders, Arms, Chest Abdomen, Legs, and Feet serve the place called earth. Shu and Tefnut give strength to the body of heaven. The body of heaven is the region where the cerebrum and cerebellum reside. How was the nervous system created? See the passage below: The children of Shu and Tefnut are Geb and Nut = Heaven and Earth. Information about the function of these gods is revealed in the passages below: Shu is the god of space. This is depicted as the domain between heaven and earth Shu is the god of light. He is manifested in the beams of the sun and of the moon. Shu is dry and Tefnut is moist. Here we can learn how Shu travels as the electrical impulse along the nerves. His wife travels along the spinal fluid which travels inside the nerves and bathes them. Her lion features indicate the prana energy contributes to the nerves. Together working as a team they cause the muscles and bones to move upon the will. The sun and moon refer to the the two ganglion in the left and right side ventricles located in the cerebrum area. The sun is the center involving motor control. The Moon is the center responsible receiving sensory information. Medical research will benefit once the knowledge of the body is understood from these texts. The four minds of the mutable cross. Gemini is the cerebrospinal mind. Virgo is the assimilative mind, Sagittarius is the motor nerve mind, Pisces is the lymphatic mind. Regions of the body Gemini shoulders, arm, and hands Virgo digestion, abdominal cavity Sagittarius hips, and thighs Pisces feet, circulatory systems. Dante wrote that the entrance to hell is where the centaurs dwell. This is the interface between the organs located in the loins and the nerves that feed into them. The astral christ fire operates in this very region of the body. The lake mentioned in the Devine comedy is the sacral region between the hips and the abdomen. The boundary between two astrological signs of the mutable cross namely virgo and sagittarius.
