The painting above shows exactly what we are trying to do with our mind. This is visiting where we have been. To travel the unknown would be different. This of course is different. Here is where your are. Notice in the right hand is the tool used to represent the herdsman. This associates the role of Arcturus in prayer. We may hold a ritual before a meal not realizing the preparation of food is the hidden path to communion with the higher worlds. The symbolism of the Divine Soul is that of a black bird. Again just as a reference in the painting above refers to the nerves involved in the digestion of food. The position of this bird in the night sky refers to nerves that the alchemists call the doorway to their art. This bird can be seen to rest upon a skull. The two nerve systems that these two symbols represent are involved in a unique feedback loop that is access through the knowledge of magic. Magic the ability to transform. The Egyptian Mysteries portrayed the same bird as a Sparrow. The Chinese texts describe this constellation of a Raven (The Latin is Corvus) to appear above a large mountain. The land that includes this mountain is associated with the blue green dragon. The mountain is the nerves located in the prostrate area. The dragon is the spirit guardian of the East wind. This domain is where nutrients from food are used in the construction of the numerous seeds the body uses, as well as the structures of the body and for the products of the mind called thoughts. How appropriate that a discussion of prayer begins with the aspects of nourishment. The artist understands invocation cannot occur without several preparations. The operator is seeking entry to her higher selfs by looking upon the vapors. This is the etheric world.
When one pursues Magic there comes a point where the event horizon is reached. The ability to transform a process involves knowing where you want to go and where you are. The invocations to achieve a powerful action of bringing the spirit down into the physical body is provided by a series of manuscripts. One is called the sermon on the plains, from the evangelical Luke 6:17-49. The other is called the 'sermon on the mount,' located in Matthew, chapters 5-7. Each of the eight sections are called a blessing. You will often see the word Beatitude used in place of blessing. The name beatitude means a supreme blessedness. Each of these blessings are powerful invocations. The original Greek text referred to them as the conferral of immortality. This was the gift to the hero/heroines for their efforts. The Greek word used is μακάριος. This Makarios is the prize in the Mysteries for the victory in achieving conscious control of the mind from the automatic nervous system. This is where freedom from fate and death occurs.3 In Islam cosmology the first handful of Earth is the body. The inhabitants dwell in the sphere of death. These people are the thoughts. To break free requires the journey from the physical domain to the etheric domain. The blessings describe why cosmologies were written in traditions. The mental mind or mental body has the capability to leave its world and enter the world of Buddhi. The view of the physical world occurs when the mental body uses the etheric body as a reflector. The illusion of being in the physical world when we really are not. Only when we chose to use our mind to explore the tree of life can we begin to use the blessings. To use the methods of prayer involved in breath, motion, and diet is a step toward using them properly. We tend not realize what a treasure these blessings really are. Congratulations on your decision. The journey to knowledge begins. The tree of life diagram may seem too abstract. The blessings lead access to the higher worlds within YOU. Read passively the words are just as you encounter in any text. The formula to leave one world and enter another is what magicians do. This then is what magic is used for. As much significance can be presented to this valuable find without the missing portions the wording will not be effective. All traditions have them, it is up to the individual to bring about the magic. Being born upside down. Do not be surprised to meet others feeling the order of the blessings should be reversed. The answer to this lies in the three triangles drawn upon the tree of life. The triangle of personality is parallel with the triangle of the soul. The triangle of the spirit is antiparallel. Depending on where a mind rests the reference of the tree will either appear right side up, or upside down. Both the crown of the logos and the kingdom share attributes. This means the descriptions for each world are relative to the tree. Ask yourself what an inverted kingdom rich in spirit would appear to you as? Hint the triangle of fire is the inverted triangle of water. The emotion of passion, when inverted, is calmness. This means not a neutralization of feeling but a change in symmetry. The true nature of one's humors is based on the reader's orientation. In order to reach and arrive at a world requires knowledge and indeed experience with the hours. It is said a pattern of a drum could invoke a change of an hour. Music, as well all the arts, will be necessary to learn how to apply the blessings. An introduction to the blessings and which world is being accessed. 1 Physical Body {Malkuth (מלכות)} In order for an individual to enter the spiritual world in earlier times, the etheric body had to be slightly separated from the physical body, which was thus formed in a special way. Christ Jesus therefore said in regard to the physical body, “Blessed are the beggars, the poor in spirit, for if they develop their ego-ruled bodies in the right way, they will find the Kingdom of Heaven.” Blessed are the poor in spirit for theirs is the Kingdom of Heaven physical body is poor in spirit cannot detect higher worlds therefore refers to Malkuth - The kingdom
2 Etheric Body {Yesod (יסוד)}
Of the etheric body Rudolf Steiner pointed out, “Formerly, men could be healed of illnesses of the body and soul by ascending into the spiritual world in a state of ecstasy. Now those who suffer and are filled with the spirit of God can be healed and comforted by finding the source, the comfort, within themselves.” Blessed are they that mourn, for they shall be comforted. The ether body experiences suffering from the astral body. The astral body leaves the physical body while the body rests. With each return of the astral body the etheric body suffers.
With the ability to connect with the etheric body opens the possibility to reach the astral body. This is land where images can change abruptly without notification. A way to reach this junction simply relies on refection of how differences on earth are manifested by time and growth spirits. How stones and plants differ from birds and humans leads the way to feelings and a feeling is a guide to change to the world of thoughts. this is the land of spirits.
3 Astral Body {Hod (הוד)}
Of the astral body Rudolf Steiner said, “In former times those whose astral bodies were beset by wild and tempestuous passions could only be subdued when equanimity, peace and purification streamed to them from divine spiritual beings.” Now men should find the strength within their own egos, through the in-dwelling Christ, to purify the astral body on earth. Thus, the new influence in the astral body had to be presented by saying, “Blessed and God-imbued in their astral bodies are those who foster calmness and equanimity within themselves; all comfort and well-being on earth shall be their reward.” Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the Earth
4 Sentient Soul {Hod (הוד)}
The fourth beatitude refers to the sentient soul. The ego of him who purifies himself in his sentient soul and seeks a higher development, will become permeated with the Christ. In his heart he will thirst for righteousness; he will become pervaded with godliness and his ego will become sufficient unto itself. Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be filled.
5 Rational Soul (Ego) {Netzach (נצח)}
The next member is the rational soul. In the sentient soul the ego is in dull slumber; it only awakens in the rational soul. Because the ego sleeps in the sentient soul, we cannot find in another man the ego that truly makes him a human being. Before an individual has developed the ego within himself, he must allow his sentient soul to grow into higher worlds to be able to perceive something there. But when he has developed himself in his rational soul, he can perceive the person next to him. Where all those members previously referred to are concerned, we must bear in mind what was given them in earlier realms. It is only the rational soul that can fill itself with what flows from man to man. In the fifth beatitude the sentence structure will have to take on a special form. The subject and the predicate must be alike, since it concerns what the ego develops within itself. The fifth beatitude says, “He who develops compassion and mercy shall find compassion in others.” Blessed are the merciful, for they shall obtain mercy. The translation is not very good. A transfer of matter and energy is hard to convey. Rudolf Steiner suggested the translation can be renders as: “What streams forth streams back again.
6 Consciousness Soul {Netzach (נצח)}
The next sentence of the Beatitudes refers to the consciousness soul. Through it the ego comes into being as pure ego and becomes capable of receiving God into itself. If man can elevate himself to such a degree, he can perceive within himself that drop of the divine, his ego; through his purified consciousness soul he can see God. The sixth sentence of the Beatitudes must, therefore, refer to God. The external physical expression for the ego and the consciousness soul is the blood, and where it brings itself most clearly to expression is in the heart, as expression of the purified ego. Christ said, therefore, “Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.” Thus, we are shown how in the most intimate sense the heart is the expression of the ego, the divine in man. Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.
7 Manas {Tiphereth (תפארת) (Causal body) (Spirit self) }, forms from the two bodies: Buddhi {Chesed (חסד) (Life spirit) } and Atman {Geburah (Spirit body or Spirit man)}
Now let us advance to what is higher than the consciousness soul, to manas, buddhi and atman, or spirit self, life spirit and spirit man. Contemporary man may well develop the three members of the soul but not until the distant future will he be able to develop the higher members, spirit self, life spirit and spirit man. These cannot as yet live in themselves in man; for this to occur he must look up to higher beings. His spirit self is not yet in him; only in the future will it suffuse him. Man is not yet sufficiently evolved to take the spirit self completely into himself. In this respect he is still at the beginning of his development and is like a vessel that is gradually receiving it. This is indicated in the seventh sentence of the Beatitudes. At first, the spirit self can only weave into man and fill him with its warmth. Only through the deed of Christ is it brought down to earth as the power of love and harmony. Therefore, Christ says, “Blessed are those who draw the spirit self down into themselves, for they shall become the children of God.” This points man upward to higher worlds. Manas draws down from Atman and Buddhi Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called the Children of God
The concept of Atman is the higher Conssciousness. This is Osiris in the Khmet tradition. The concept of Buddhi is the higher intellect. This is Auset (Isis deity) in the Khmet tradition. What is Atman? What is Buddhi? The soul triangle is not fully explored. Since your ideas come from the tree of life it is of high value to learn about the leaves, fruits, and flowers. In a day of experience feels are shared. Since the highest blessing address the Atman body. It is worthy to understand this part of us. Ideas from the treasury of light do pass through the members of the soul triangle. The figure below implies we have more than one body. Our mind appears to transport the Atman.
8 Atman, Spirit man {Geburah (גבורה)}
The world of Atman. Do you know self? Where are you gazing? The surface of the Manas? Where do you want to look, the Atman? Atman is The inner self. Further on, mention is made of what will be brought about in the future, but it will encounter in ever-increasing measure the opposition of the present time and be fiercely rejected. It is said in the eighth sentence of the Beatitudes, “God-imbued or blessed are they who are persecuted for righteousness sake, For they will be fulfilled in themselves with the Kingdom of Heaven, with life spirit or buddhi.” Connected with this we find references also to the special mission of Christ Himself, in the sentence that reads, “Christ's intimate disciples may consider themselves blessed if they have to suffer persecution for His sake.” This is a faint allusion to spirit man or atman, which will be imparted to us in the distant future. Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake. Rejoice and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in Heaven, for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you. The key to unlocking the meanings of these invocations is knowing what do the wordings: revile, you, persecute, and evil actually refer to. Each of the words can be placed upon a tree diagram. This relates the word to parts of the body.
A diagram like the one above. A word to have any effect must be bound to an organ, or portion of the physical body. The portions in the higher worlds must also be bound to the portions in the lower world. This concept of binding is missing in our mechanical ways. If the spirit is engaged at every part in the process the prayer becomes effective. These efforts will take away the false approach to slumber an image these are moral approaches to other physical bodies. The conflict is among the higher bodies of YOURSELF. To bring down the fire of the spirit from above requires efforts from within your self. The desire of spirit to work with earth requires the passage through material.
Atman impresses its forces upon the lower bodies
Etheric body Threptikon This is the nutritive soul Causal body Karana-Sarira Sentient body Asethetikon Sentient Soul Orektikon Intellect Soul Kinetkon Consciousness Soul Dianoetikon A text that introduces some of the terms listed above can be found in the work by Aristotle called De Anima. The English translation, with side by side Greek text, is presented by R. D. Hicks. A text only version in English can be obtained at this site. It is available in three parts An understanding of the Karana-Sarira is briefly outlined at this site. A more detailed account with questions and answer format can be found here. Advanced information can be addressed at this site. A commentary on the Bhagavadgita is available here.
The calling down the spirit. A method of magic needed so much more. Liken to move from one place on a map to another. To take a position on the surface of a ball and move to a position on the circumference of a circle.
The elements are important to control by the mind. The first four blessings are dedicated to the these elements. The earlier versions found in the Greek texts made direct associations to the elements. The concept of thirst for water. The realm of the skies for air. The use of Earth to explicitly assign the element of earth.
A more informed list of the blessings. The Sun and Moon are mentioned in alchemy texts. Among the many areas in the physical body. This two orbs involve the motor center of the brain and the sensory center. Both can be found in lateral side ventricles.
The Oriental tradition fits directly to the designation. Metal for Spirit. The word for metal is referred to Ether, or Quintessence in the West. The elements Wood (木 mù), Fire (火 huǒ), Earth (土 tǔ), Metal (金 jīn), and Water (水 shuǐ) are described in the tree. The element wood is Air.
Ritual form of the four fold energies. Showing a from for each of their functions. By focus on the ability to rise in the hour. It is able to achieve control. Breath and motion is essential in these rituals. Motion is the silent partner in prayer. The elements hold pathways for energies that were formed at the time of creation. The various Lords of Flame, Form, Mind, and Humanity have their activity. The result of these contribute to the construction of earth. The reactions carried out by the Lords of Mind have an unusual effect on us.
